My dogs have done well on several varieties of Members Mark food over many years. They are healthy and I receive compliments in their beautiful coats. While the quality is good, the financial value has diminished. Members mark dog food went from 40 lb bags at $14 to $35 for a 30lb bag in 20 years. It far exceeds inflation

About a year ago I switched all my dogs to this particular food. I've always heard grain free is better for they're diet and coats, and my pups shed a LOT. 1. My picky eater Chihuahua/beagle ate it just fine from the start. 2. My now year old beagle mix has been eating it since he was a puppy, because he refused puppy food and it never upset his stomach. 3. My beagle mix and dachshund hardly shed at all, which my chihuahua/beagle's shedding has decreased tremendously. 4. The price is on point. Most other grain free foods cost an arm and a leg. I recommend this to anyone that will listen. I decided to write this review due to all of the terrible things I have been seeing about other dog food brands. I will never feed my dogs anything else!

I've been feeding my dog the Member's Mark Exceed dry food for the past 4-5 years (initially the Lamb and Rice one, and for the past couple years the Salmon and Pea Grain Free one). I learned that all of the Member's Mark dry dog foods contain a potentially toxic ingredient called "Menadione" (aka "Vitamin K3") which is banned in human supplements in the US. High doses or prolonged exposure to menadione has the potential to cause liver damage. Dogs need extremely little Vitamin K, and almost always get what they need simply from the meat ingredients of the food. AAFCO doesn't require any Vitamin K in dog food so I'm at a loss as to why Sam's Club refuses to remove this controversial ingredient. It would save them money and no one would miss it. My older dog has developed extremely high ALP/ALT numbers for the past few years. This could indicate the early stages of liver disease. Not sure if it's related to the food, but why take the risk? The new Member's Mark grain free canned dog food does not have this ingredient. I recommend that as an alternative if you're willing to pay more for wet food.

I used to feed the dog science diet! Yikes! That's what he came home on, so I didn't want to give him upset tummy, I slowly mixed grain free! Salmon & pea and he's been happy ever since. Then I got a second dog... they've been on this food for years. It is sometimes hard to find. 6 years... last about a month for 2. They use a lil more in winter months. & they are correct it doesn't smell fishy anymore! But my fur kids still love it! Thank you Sam's

One of my dogs is white and you could see little red bumps under his fur. I thought I'd give this food a shot.... It works! No more bumps, no more itching and his coat looks great. My other short haired dog, his coat looks amazing as well. Before I got this food, it was hit & kid on whether or not they'd eat. I used to bribe them by coconut oil in their food. No bribing needed with this food. They LOVE it. It is definitely worth trying. **yes, the food smells

Between the massive price hike and the fact that they reformulated, we will no longer be purchasing this. Our dogs LOVED this dog food before. Our pups have been feeding them this consistently for 2+ years. They used to get SO excited to eat it! Now they will only take a few bites at night. Which is really bad considering they only get fed once a day. It no longer smells like fish, my pups hate eating it, it has made them have diarrhea, etc We also strictly carried a Sams membership because of how great this dog food was. We will for sure not be renewing in November.

This dog food has excellent, healthy ingredients, but the dog hated it. I think it gave him diarrhea and he wouldn't eat it after that. I even tried to sneak it in with another dry food and he sat there and picked out the individual pieces of this food. May have just been our Lab's particular stomach preferences.....

My two heelers love this food. I?ve even had to put extra bags away where they cannot get to them because they would rip the bag open! One of my boys started out on the Members Mark puppy food & he transitioned to this food after a year. My other boy was s rescue & this food helped him regain his health. Both of my boys are active & have really great coats, which I credit to this food.

I compared this dog food to one I was using. Both salmon and vegetables without grain. This one is a much better bargain and my dog loves it. I am a senior and carrying this large bag is very difficult, but I have it delivered free. Thank you Sams Club from me and Toodie.

I've a 4 year old pit mix whose allergies were off the charts- especially during the summer. My vet told me to switch to grain free, but the dog foods I researched were very high in price. I found this to be a more affordable option and, after four years, I can say that it works! My dog likes it and she has a shinier coat.
