Worked great I can't find it anymore!

I was so happy to find this and the Lamb and Rice version of dog food at Sams after months of dealing with vet visits and dog diarrhea. This was the only affordable food my dog can eat. The past 2 trips to Sams they have not had it in stock and it is not in stock online now. I bought the Chicken and Rice but my dog has to be special and is allergic to Chicken. It is super hard to find a dogfood without chicken or grain. I am now on the search for something similar online. Sam's are you discontinuing this dog food? Signed, please bring it back because I don't want to deal with dog diarrhea anymore

Excellent for dogs with skin allergies

I have a Rat Terrier that suffered from chronic skin allergies. She was given cortisone shots and took 3 Benadryl per day (vet prescribed) and was still itchy non stop and extremely prone to hot spots. I came across this dog food at Sam?s and man what a difference it has made!! Her skin allergies have COMPLETELY cleared up (no longer on any meds) just by switching over to this food. I tried all of the grain free options and the dogs LOVE the flavor of this one. It does have a very strong fish smell, but so worth it! Highly recommend this food.

Created Eager Eaters

Before Sams started carrying this elite dog food we tried all the name brands. One of our dogs, a chow-golden retriever mix who was such a finicky eater that we often had to add in our left overs as an enticement as a treat for just eating. Now, not only does she like the food without any "treats," but she is now in the habit of waiting me up when she wants to eat. There can be no greater ad for this dog food than Maggie being eager to eat.

High quality, better coat and movement for old dog

Our 15 year old border collie/lab mix was suffering with terrible coat issues. He was pulling out tuffs of hair on his backside where he could reach and had sores on his feet and legs. Since he's been on this, his coat has come back in and no more sores. And he likes it!!

Buy it!

I had my dogs on blue buffalo and Merrick salmon food for a few years. I saw this grain free food at half The price with comparable ingredients and guaranteed nutrition analysis. So I gave it a try and they love it! They have been doing great on it and somehow their coats became even shinier!

Good Quality

My dog seemed to have liked it for a few years and it seemed good for my dogs coat and allergies. It was a great value as well. The vet even felt that it was a good food. However, for some reason my dog just got tired of eating it and stopped wanting to eat it. I also have been told by a vet that giving your dog grain free foods is not always the best. I guess it all depends on your own pets needs. Seems like most dog foods now are all grain free, etc. So I had to move onto something with grains and with different flavor. Other wise it is a good dog food to stick with.

switched from $52 proplan

I am really happy with this food for both my dogs! (German Shepherd & pocket Bully) They both love it and we made the switch from Pro-Plan to this with no issues. My pocket bully/pit has grain allergies and his coat is perfect on this. I called customer service and this is manufactured by Sam?s club and not Purina for anyone who is wondering.

My Starving Lab Won't Eat It

My Lab Zara eats just about anything, that said, she barks uncontrollably when presented with this stuff until it is replaced. Food has a very strong unpleasant odor. I have never seen her react this way to food, ever. Like any Lab she is an eating machine, we added a puzzle bowl to slow her down she eats so fast, so her behavior is concerning. Back to her Purina One Turkey Venison. I cannot recommend this food, neither does Zara!

Like doggie crack

My dogs love this stuff. We switched to this from the Costco brand when we moved to a new area where there was no Costco available. We've tried the other flavors as well, but they only eat it grudgingly. They come RUNNING when they smell the salmon and pea bag open. I will note that it does have a definite fishy odor when you open the bag. Though it doesn't stay in the bowl long enough to notice. I would definitely recommend it, especially if your dogs are picky.

More expensive less food

Price increased from $28 to $42 for 30lbs bag of food. I have a 25lbs food bin that I used to have to keep some food in the bag because it wouldn't all fit - now it doesn't even fill up the container. Not worth the price increase especially since I'm getting less food!
