[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received my sample from Home Tester Club I was excited to try this. They worked for me if I doubled them up and I no longer suffer with bloating or digestion pains. I can now eat ice cream in peace!

I was simply trying to verify how to take the medication - Fast Acting - via website. There is no administration or dosage instructions. On the right, there are drop downs for Active ingredients and Inactive Ingredients. I think it would be helpful to also add a drop down with instructions on dosage and administration. I visited multiple sites to access this information, as the individual packets do not provide that info either. I simply grabbed 2 sheets of packets, stuffed it in my bag and went to work. So all I needed was instructions on how and when to take the caplets. It was not easy to find that simple information. Thanks, First time user

I bought this 2 days ago and took 2 tabs around 4p to have with ice cream. I woke the next morning with a splitting headache, dry mouth/swollen salivary duct under the tongue, severe nausea and vomiting (dry heaving). The headache and nausea/vomiting were so severe I couldn’t not keep down water nor sit or stand. I had to miss work and “doze” all day bc of the pain and discomfort. Able to drink sips of water that night. Next morning feeling generally unwell but able to keep down water, broth, rice crackers etc. Product not recommended. Take with extreme caution.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was surprised that the Lactaid tablets worked so quickly. I used them and drank milk and used other dairy products without any problems. I loved how this product enabled me to live a normal life without any stomach issues.

For the past few years I haven't been able to tolerate dairy products. I love to drink hot chocolate from Starbucks but it had become very painful. (I also have IBS) My Barista told me about Lactaid and it changed my life. This product is amazing. Don't give up on nutritious meals. Try this product. I promise you will not be disappointed. I wish I knew years ago that this product existed. Thank you!! Sharon

I had severe vomiting after taking this product (fact act caplets) on two occasions. I was trying to figure out what caused it and included lactaid in the google search, and found the reviews on this site. Apparently, a good number of people have this reaction. I called and reported it to them. I encourage others who have the reaction to call. I would like this side effect to be disclosed on the package for the consumer. I can eat Lactaid ice cream without a problem. Some reviews said they do not have the reaction with the chewables.

My mother bought this pill for me as I recently found I was lactose intolerant. She made my favorite dish of hers, poppyseed chicken casserole and I was so happy I could eat it. Though soon after I ate I felt really sick. I thought I had just not had enough of them due to that fact I only took 1 pill. Now I am extremely nauseous and my stomach hurts bad. Not to mention, I’ve had severe diarrhea. This did not help, and this lactaid pill almost ruined my favorite meal. Am currently dealing with the consequences of this product:(

I have trouble eating dairy and I love it so much. This helps me be able to enjoy it more often that I use to. I would definitely recommend this product to everyone that has this problem

Do not buy these. Years ago I tried these pills and found myself violently ill 3-4 hours after taking them, vomiting etc. Fast forward to yesterday, I thought I’d try them again. And sadly again 3 hours later I had severe nausea, was vomiting and had diarrhea. This is not what happens when I have dairy. Do your research before taking these, there are many others who experience similar reactions.

The caplets aren’t effective for me. The chewables work much better. If I use these, I get some slight relief from what I’d normally experience without lactase, but not nearly enough to make it worth it. If you want to eat dairy and get relief, go for the chewables. They don’t taste great, but they work.
