If you are lactose intolerant, it works right away, just take 1 pill before the first bite of any dairy food, some people might need to take 2 pills. I have been taking them for years and I can eat pizza, cheese, ice cream without getting bloated, stomach pain, and diarrhea. Happy that Sam's Club sells them. The pills are individually packaged which makes it convient to put in your pocket or purse. I definitely recommend lactaid fast act pills, they also offer lactaid milk.

My daughter was diagnosed with 0 enzymes. Yes, ZERO. After cutting out all dairy from her diet for a year (and you would be surprised how mostly everything contains dairy) she was able to slowly re-introduce dairy by taking Lactaid fast acting pills. Now she can enjoy dairy... ice cream, glass of milk...

I like having Lactaid tablets on hand in my purse, so if I am out I don’t have to worry that I can’t have any dairy products. They are small and don’t take up a lot of room and are individually wrapped. Great product! These work the best for me.

I love this product! Allows me to eat dairy products without becoming ill. Although it is a tablet intended to be swallowed, the taste is bland enough that it can be chewed with the 1st bite of food, with good results. Since joining Sam's Club, I have been purchasing at the club--a much better value than in regular stores. However, very disappointed that for the past month it is out of stock--and also out of stock at all clubs within 50 miles! I hope this changes soon--it is one of the reasons I keep my Sam's Club membership!

Very easy to digest. Worked very fast. The tablets were easy to swallow, but did have a chalky taste unfortunately. I would not recommend this to people who are sensitive to chalky tasting pills, however I have no complaints myself.

What is the Lactase derived from? From Corn, Aspergillus Niger or something else? Please put this on your label the origin of the Lactase enzyme so we can be educated consumers. This is expecially important for consumers who may avoid Corn OR are sensItive to the Aspergillus Niger mold.

gave me nausea and severe diarrhea for weeks before i realized it contains mannitol polyols. Pls don't put mannitol in anything!

I was simply trying to verify how to take the medication - Fast Acting - via website. There is no administration or dosage instructions. On the right, there are drop downs for Active ingredients and Inactive Ingredients. I think it would be helpful to also add a drop down with instructions on dosage and administration. I visited multiple sites to access this information, as the individual packets do not provide that info either. I simply grabbed 2 sheets of packets, stuffed it in my bag and went to work. So all I needed was instructions on how and when to take the caplets. It was not easy to find that simple information. Thanks, First time user

I was diagnosed lactose intolerant in 2001 and primarily dealt with the symptoms for years. A doctor recommended Lactaid oral supplements as a solution. The first two uses were successful, but on the third use, I experienced severe abdominal pain and nausea. I did not originally attribute this to using Lactaid, so I used the product again three days later. The abdominal pain was crippling and I vomited several times. I experienced dizziness as well. When I confronted my doctor about this, she told me that some other people have the same issue and that I should discontinue use. I have not used the product since and the symptoms have not returned.
