There was no after taste. I have minimal difficulty with digesting a small amount of dairy products, when I consumed more than a small amount, Lactaid seemed to lessen the bloating I associate with a small serving of dairy.

I used this product for a couple of days and what I noticed as a significant change was the absence of pain and discomfort in my stomach when taking the caplet with my first bite of the dairy product. I did still experience a little bit of gas after the consumption of the dairy products, but the amount was much less than usual. As stated before, my biggest advantage was the absence of pain and discomfort after eating the dairy products. The only other downside I had was the fact that I had to remember to have the caplets with or on me wherever I went in case I was going to eat dairy. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that suffers from any issues with dairy.

I previously had been buying Lactaid brand pills to control my lactose intolerance...however, I wasn't getting the relief I needed. I've become accustomed to reading labels since I've been lactose intolerant, so I checked the ingredients for Lactaid pills and found the ingredient "sorbitol". Sorbitol causes the very side effects that lactose intolerant people are trying to avoid. Why do the makers of this product include sorbitol in lactose relief pills???

I've tried countless "off-brands" or store brands of lactase enzymes, and the truth is, none of them work nearly as well as Lactaid brand. Lactaid has the only fast acting caplet that works thoroughly and consistently. No more uncomfortable side effects when I consume dairy...and I LOVE dairy :).
