I was diagnosed with total intolerance to lactose more than twenty years ago, and, after experimenting with a variety of supplements/digestive aids, I discovered the Lactaid brand. Lactaid Fast Act allows me to digest foods whose labels caution that they are ' produced on equipment that is also used to produce dairy products' without getting any side effects such as indigestion or upset stomach. I am also able to digest melted lactose-free cheeses with no digestive upset if I have taken one or two caplets before eating. I highly recommend this product.

I tried to actually have some ice cream and iced coffee with milk in it, and I regretted!!! I took the Lactaid as directed each time and felt no relief from my distress! But when I ate Ice Cream I had to take two. I notice by the end of the day I had gas form eating Milk products earlier in the day. so that was just strange. My 16 year old son is lactose intolerant so he tried them and they made it so he can eat and drink dairy products with out all the problems he normally has. No bloating, gas, diarrhea, and uncomfortable stomach pain. They really do work!

I like milk on occasion, but every time I drink it I suffer from extreme abdominal pain. When I started using Lactaid, I did not have the abdominal pain. I will definitely continue to use Lactaid when I am craving a glass of milk!

I have been taking the pills for years when I eat dairy products. Taking 3-4 capsules usually does the trick for me. I just have a regular bowel movement the next day. I have never vomited from taking this product. I am sorry to hear that others have. I also only drink Lactaid or non-dairy milk.
