I don't know if it's just the Fast Act lactaid or what, but every single time I take one, I get severe upper stomach pains, like doubled over ready to cry pain... And really really bad nausea. Not sure why. But I'm done with these. I'd rather have the diarrhea.

Like many on this thread, I have experienced severe nausea and vomiting with the Lactaid Fast Act- Extra Strength capsules (as recommended by my physician). I was hoping that it would be the answer for me but it is definitely not. Will not be taking again.

The pills helped me to enjoy dairy without consequence as long as I did not overdo it on the dairy. Though I did feel stopped up after taking the pill, it was an okay effect in order to be able to enjoy dairy once in awhile. I really liked using this product if I wasn't sure about the dairy content in my meal, so that I could use it as a safety, or just in case. Thank you for making me feel more confident that I wouldn't get sick from dairy!

I have been using lactaid on a daily basis for about a year now. It has made the largest difference in my quality of life in quite some time. It works wonders for me. I could not enjoy some of the foods I love without it. I highly recommend this product.

I have always been lactose intolerant but have always been able to tolerate diary products with minimal symptoms. As I have grown older (I am 54 now), my lactose intolerance has gotten worse: painful cramps, bloating, gassiness, diarrhea/constipation. I started taking Lactaid Fast Act Caplets about a month ago and ALL my symptoms have gone away. What a life saver for me! Now, I carry the caplets with me in my purse and lunch bag at work. I recently acquiesced to my lactose intolerance. I'm not thrilled... I tried a Lactaid Fast-Act before eating a piece of red velvet cake: got cramps and gas. I tried 2 Fast Act pills before Valentine's Day: same reaction. I tried eating a very big bakery muffin with no pills at all - and I've been very uncomfortable for 2 days. Lactaid fast Act lessens the experience of gas + cramps + bloating, but it doesn't prevent the onset of symptoms completely. It's worth a shot to see how your body responds to Fast Act.
