I am very lactose in-tolerate but I have such a hard time giving up dairy, it's in so many things I love. I also drink chocolate milk every morning how most people would drink coffee. After I drink my regular diary milk every morning I have bad coughing spells that make me want to get sick and then I get bloating a hour or so after that. I've never tried a lactaid before for my in-tolerance. I'm the type of person that doesn't like to take pills much for anything. I absolutely love these Lactaid Fast Act Caplets!! I take one right before I drink my chocolate milk and I'm good. There is no bad taste, no side effects or anything. Since taking these I have no more coughing after my dairy. The stomach issues have been drastically reduced and I feel so much better overall. This has helped me so much in enjoying what I love and not having to worry about side effects from the dairy. I use them to eat oreos lol. Few days later nausea and diarrhea. Not sure why but Im guessing this is from the body digesting non dairy foods and pushing it leftover contents from the intestine. If you need it take it but wouldn't take it too much or eat too much dairy. Know your body limits.

After trying the product I realized that I started to have less problems with eating dairy with continued use. It took continued use for me to get my system used to it before I really noticed a difference. I usually avoid drinking milk due to the issues it causes and have had to many times skip breakfast, because I was afraid to eat cereal with milk if it was all we had left before grocery day. This product has helped in building a tolerance to the milk so that I can enjoy something as simple as having a bowl of cereal. I give it 4 out of 5 stars, because it does work, but after some continued use not right with the very first pill.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lactaid Fast Act Caplets were packaged in individual pill packages which made them easy to carry in my pocket, purse, and billfold. The Caplets were easy to swallow and mostly tasteless. I had to take two caplets in order to ingest ice cream without immediate issues. I still had some bloating and stomach discomfort in a few hours or the next morning. While it was not the perfect product for me, it was useful and did work to a point. I will consider trying it again for my occasional ice cream treats. A little relief is better than no relief.

The pills helped me to enjoy dairy without consequence as long as I did not overdo it on the dairy. Though I did feel stopped up after taking the pill, it was an okay effect in order to be able to enjoy dairy once in awhile. I really liked using this product if I wasn't sure about the dairy content in my meal, so that I could use it as a safety, or just in case. I was diagnosed with total intolerance to lactose more than twenty years ago, and, after experimenting with a variety of supplements/digestive aids, I discovered the Lactaid brand. Lactaid Fast Act allows me to digest foods whose labels caution that they are ' produced on equipment that is also used to produce dairy products' without getting any side effects such as indigestion or upset stomach. I am also able to digest melted lactose-free cheeses with no digestive upset if I have taken one or two caplets before eating. I highly recommend this product.

After trying this, I can now enjoy the things I like without having an issues. I was impressed at how well and how fast it works. It feels so good to be able to enjoy ice cream or a sundae away from home for a change. Don't give up the food you love because of the discomfort any more, just take Lactaid and enjoy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] after trying my free sample of Lactaid fast act Caplets from the Home Tester Club i can now eat and drink dairy. normally i just avoid the good stuff (made with real milk) but now i can take these small pills with me and not have to worry about it. they are easy to swallow and better then the chew able ones since they don't compromise the taste of your food.

Both my kids were having a lot of gas pains, and they both drink a lot of milk (ages 12, 15). Lactaid has solved the problem for both of them. They pop one before they eat dairy (cheese, milk, ice cream) and so far, so good. To the person above who commented that Lactaid didn't help with the muffins and cake they were eating, you probably have a wheat sensitivity, not a dairy sensitivity. Lactaid is for DAIRY products, the products you mention have tons of WHEAT, but likely no dairy.

I have been taking lactaid for 25 yrs. It is a great product. I can now eat almost anything. I have a little difficulty eating ice cream sometimes but the fact that i can have cheese is great. I have lactose intolerence fairly bad have to take the pills with every meal. I have tried off brands but they do not work well. Thank you for making a great product.
