[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received a sample of Lactaid fast act caplets from the Home tester club. I used it before drinking a glass of milk. I had no bloating or gas/cramps. Then tested it by eating a bowl of cereal with milk and still no symptoms. Lactaid fast acting caplets really work well. I would recomend them to anyone who has difficulty with dairy products.

I used these as a child between the ages of 7 and 14. I was lactose intolerant during those 7 years. If I did not have one of these, I could not eat one drop of ANYTHING that contained milk without going straight to the bathroom. I honestly don't know what I would've done without these. I was skeptical that it worked so I never purchased them on my own but really hated not being able to enjoy dairy. I am amazed at how well this product works and now I am able to eat dairy without the consequences! I would recommend this product to anyone who has trouble with dairy.

For the past several years, my GI issues got progressively worse and worse. There were times when I knew if I ate specific foods with dairy in them that I would need quick access to a bathroom for at least 3-4 hours after eating. I would enjoy a meal only to suffer through strong cramps and diarrhea beginning as quickly as 15 minutes after a meal—lasting for hours. I would always be nervous to go to a friend’s house knowing what would happen if I ate...it became so bad that I just wanted to stay home. I love dairy so much, but almost decided to get rid of it 100%. I don’t know what took me so long, but I bought a pack of lactaid capsules, in denial that they would work because of their incredibly-affordable price. After several years of struggling, 1-2 capsules before each meal got rid of all of my symptoms. I’m not lying when I say that I feel like I have my life back, and I would completely recommend this to anyone who has challenges with lactose—from a quick belly ache to nearly-unbearable cramps and diarrhea for hours on end. I’m excited to have a milkshake now without having to sacrifice a day of staying home—I haven’t had one in years and can barely wait to have it.

I’m not sure if this is a different formulation than the previous 3-pill dose, but after trying the new version on two separate occasions I got a severe stomach ache each time. We were enjoying pizza (or trying to) at the farm where we’d gotten married several years earlier and this was the first time we’d been able to go back, so it was definitely a bummer.

Lactaid Fast Act Caplets totally work for me, allowing me to eat like everybody else. My one problem--and the reason for four stars instead of 5--is the packaging. The original strength comes in a bottle, but I have to take three of those tabs to be equal to one Fast Act caplet. The Fast Act caplets only come individually foil wrapped, which is a pain. Please sell us the Fast Act caplets in a bottle!

The caplets aren’t effective for me. The chewables work much better. If I use these, I get some slight relief from what I’d normally experience without lactase, but not nearly enough to make it worth it. If you want to eat dairy and get relief, go for the chewables. They don’t taste great, but they work.

I've had stomach problems for years. My boyfriend bought me these thinking they would help. They did the 1st couple times i took the pills. The 3rd time taking them i felt sick for 3 days and had really bad diahreehea...I thought it was something i ate. Tonight i took them with my ice cream and about 2 hours later i was vomiting. I've also had severe stomach pains and diahreehea again. Not good at all for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] after trying my free sample of Lactaid fast act Caplets from the Home Tester Club i can now eat and drink dairy. normally i just avoid the good stuff (made with real milk) but now i can take these small pills with me and not have to worry about it. they are easy to swallow and better then the chew able ones since they don't compromise the taste of your food.

I have tried the Lactaid fast act and found that it helped with the gas and bloating unlike the plain Lactaid. If I had a lot of dairy products, I did find that I needed to take more than one.
