I've been severely lactose intolerant for the past two years. I've used this caplets a lot and I've noticed that they reduce the level of discomfort. But as much as I'd like them to take away all symptoms and help me enjoy dairy products, they only reduce a little bit of the pain and discomfort. The next day I "pay for what I've eaten" and wake up with cramps and diarrhea. So, basically the caplets just reduce some pain at the moment. It helps to take the caplets at least 5 minutes before consuming dairy. As much as I'd love this to work, it is not enough for me. I still would recommend it to people who don't have a severe case like mine.

I had no gas or bloating after eating dairy products when I took this product. I can now enjoy one of my most favorite foods again...ice cream. Thank you Lactaid for making a great product. This product did not help me. Unfortunately the type of lactose intolerance/sensitivity that I have is much worse. I use a daily probiotic instead to help me deal with and even prevent symptoms. I'm sure the lactaid would work if my symptoms were not as bad or as frequent.

I was thrilled when I ate ice cream (cream based) after taking my caplet. There was no discomfort or regret that I had just consumed ice cream. My family was happy for me as well. The packaging is easy to open and the caplet was easy to swallow. I now enjoy more cream based dairy products and love it!!

I enjoyed the fast action on my body and no gas effect of the product and I did not feel any nausea or discomfort with this product. I hope that the tablet will be issue in the near future in a more tasteful flavor such as raspberry or strawberry flavor to relieve the bitter taste after taste. I had to quickly bit into my meal to relieve myself of that after taste and that is the only disliked. Although, the benefits outweighed the taste of the product. I rated the product an eight of a scale of ten. The ingredients are also safe and I feel comfortable with it mission to aide the symptoms of diary consumption. I usually avoid dairy or have it in very small quantities so I usually don't have to worry about my stomach being sensitive to dairy products. I did have a few days during the week of sampling that I ate cheese and using LACTAID gave me the confidence to not worry about how my stomach would react. The taste is fine and the product seems to kick in quickly. I would recommend it to others who have issues with dairy products.
