I've tried countless "off-brands" or store brands of lactase enzymes, and the truth is, none of them work nearly as well as Lactaid brand. Lactaid has the only fast acting caplet that works thoroughly and consistently. No more uncomfortable side effects when I consume dairy...and I LOVE dairy :).

I usually cannot enjoy a milkshake and stay away from things made with a lot of milk. My husband was going to get ice cream and I had him get me a large milkshake. I tried one caplet with my shake. I did have some discomfort after consuming the shake but not as bad as usual. About 1 week later I decided to try again. I got another large shake and took two caplets with it. I received none of the usual symptoms that I would usually get when consuming a milk shake. So I feel that the Lactaid did what it said it would. I was surprised when reading the label that it contains natural ingredients. I like that and will surely be using it again. I am glad that I can enjoy some of the foods that I love but could not enjoy before!

I have had lactose intolerance for many years and this product worked better than anything I have used in the past. I would highly recommend this product to anyone needing help with lactose intolerance.

I was not completely confident that it would prevent symptoms from occurring but I thought it was worth a try. I know for a fact that it does prevent my symptoms because one time while testing the product I forgot to take the product before eating dairy and remembered right as I finished and I did not suffer symptoms anywhere as severe as I would have without using the product. I experienced no symptoms when taking the product before indulging in dairy. I was very pleased with the product and will use it again. Thank you.

Like many on this thread, I have experienced severe nausea and vomiting with the Lactaid Fast Act- Extra Strength capsules (as recommended by my physician). I was hoping that it would be the answer for me but it is definitely not. Will not be taking again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received Lactaid Fast Act caplets from home testers club. I tried it for over a week and found that it really is not for me. It did help with bloating. but the gas not enough and diarrhea was so much more than before using.

I randomly became lactose intolerant 10 years ago, but it wasn't until 9 years ago when I discovered the Lactaid brand. This brand, and these caplets especially, let me enjoy all of the things I thought I had to give up eating! Now meals with friends and family always lead with the question "do you have your Lactaid?”

My 16 year old son is lactose intolerant so he tried them and they made it so he can eat and drink dairy products with out all the problems he normally has. No bloating, gas, diarrhea, and uncomfortable stomach pain. They really do work!

I would not recommend these tablets. As with many other reviews on this page, my husband took the tablets and shortly after began severely throwing up. He began complaining of severe stomach pain and then started vomiting. This apparently a side effect that is NOT listed on the product. This is his first time taking the product. Because of this we are missing the Lions playoff game tonight!

I took the Lactaid 20-30 min. before I ate my dinner. After I ate my dinner (Seafood Alfredo) I had my desert and really enjoyed it. I was so greatful I applied to try this product! I was free of gas and bloating! Thank you Lactaid, you are my first and only choice today!
