For the past several years, my GI issues got progressively worse and worse. There were times when I knew if I ate specific foods with dairy in them that I would need quick access to a bathroom for at least 3-4 hours after eating. I would enjoy a meal only to suffer through strong cramps and diarrhea beginning as quickly as 15 minutes after a meal—lasting for hours. I would always be nervous to go to a friend’s house knowing what would happen if I ate...it became so bad that I just wanted to stay home. I love dairy so much, but almost decided to get rid of it 100%. I don’t know what took me so long, but I bought a pack of lactaid capsules, in denial that they would work because of their incredibly-affordable price. After several years of struggling, 1-2 capsules before each meal got rid of all of my symptoms. I’m not lying when I say that I feel like I have my life back, and I would completely recommend this to anyone who has challenges with lactose—from a quick belly ache to nearly-unbearable cramps and diarrhea for hours on end. I’m excited to have a milkshake now without having to sacrifice a day of staying home—I haven’t had one in years and can barely wait to have it.

I’m not sure if this is a different formulation than the previous 3-pill dose, but after trying the new version on two separate occasions I got a severe stomach ache each time. We were enjoying pizza (or trying to) at the farm where we’d gotten married several years earlier and this was the first time we’d been able to go back, so it was definitely a bummer.

I don't always have discomfort when enjoying dairy but certain items cause a lot of discomfort (ice cream, certain brands of pizza, and some milk). I haven't ever used a product such as Lactaid before, I just avoided certain foods or dealt with the discomfort. I was leery about trying it but I am so glad I did. I will buy this product and since it comes in individual packet I put it in my purse. Make sure you take it with your first bite otherwise it doesn't work as well if you take it after. Still works but not as well.

I used these as a child between the ages of 7 and 14. I was lactose intolerant during those 7 years. If I did not have one of these, I could not eat one drop of ANYTHING that contained milk without going straight to the bathroom. I honestly don't know what I would've done without these. I am amazed at how well this product works and now I am able to eat dairy without the consequences! I would recommend this product to anyone who has trouble with dairy.

Lactaid Fast Act Caplets totally work for me, allowing me to eat like everybody else. My one problem--and the reason for four stars instead of 5--is the packaging. The original strength comes in a bottle, but I have to take three of those tabs to be equal to one Fast Act caplet. The Fast Act caplets only come individually foil wrapped, which is a pain. Please sell us the Fast Act caplets in a bottle!

If you’re lactose yeah enjoy the guilty pleasures of dairy here and there. These should be around and hoarded it’s an item that’s useful. They did meet my expectations it takes about an hour to provide comfort. I find it works best if you were to take it prior to consuming the dairy.

Now I can choose to have one without all the side effects. Occasionally I still get stomach cramping but with lactaid is way better then my originally effects. Highly reccomend and will buy again soon. My significant other received this product free from home tester club. I give two thumbs up.

I randomly became lactose intolerant 10 years ago, but it wasn't until 9 years ago when I discovered the Lactaid brand. This brand, and these caplets especially, let me enjoy all of the things I thought I had to give up eating! Now meals with friends and family always lead with the question "do you have your Lactaid?”
