As soon as I plugged it in, it had a hard time connecting to My WiFi. So I moved the printer directly under my WiFi box. The thing printed when it wanted to. It was very finicky. I believe printers should just do their jobs. Ended up returning it and getting an inkjet instead.

Set up was easy, not a fan of the automatic ink thing as I don’t use my printer that often. I’ve had good luck with all the HP products I’ve owned; was disappointed when my old printer is not being supported by HP so had to buy new. Guess that’s the program for less expensive home printers.

The deskjet 4356 is a low cost replacement for my officeJet 3833. My officeJet 3833 stopped working after a power surge. Unfortunately, it has no user serviceable parts to replace its power supply unit. It is not cost effective for me to repair the officeJet 3833. I will have to discard the printer and its ink cartridges. The deskjet 4356 seems to be able to do everything that the officeJet 3833 can do.

The printer itself seems solid, good features for the price point. The weakness is the software. HP seems to think that an app on your phone is the appropriate way to install software on a computer for this printer. The install app is so poor I almost returned the printer. There should always be an obvious .exe file that is clearly identified on the website and easy to understand what it is and how to download it. And it should execute locally and not online. After several hours I was able to get the printer installed, but it should not be this hard. There should also be a solid HP utility that will completely removes everything from a failed install. I would not buy this printer again because of the poor quality software.....

I bought this printer for my new office. It has been nothing but a headache so far. I wanted a printer I could plug into my laptop and print off handouts for clients. It gives all kinds of options for remote printing off my phone, but in terms of basic printing, it has been nothing but frustration and stress.

This printer makes me so mad! I have to disconnect my phone from my wifi and connect to the HP printers wifi, which says "no internet" even though its connected to my home internet. My phone wont be able to print because it says no internet. Same for my computer!! The whole process should be easier, especially with the price we paid for the printer. The copier is great and easy to use

The printer resets every hour, on the hour. I have reinstalled, unplugged, hard booted the modem, the computer, and the printer several times. But it still keeps resetting every hour. My old 8710 would reset every other month. Apparently, your products are getting dumber, not smarter.

I ordered white. It is really sharp-looking and small. But it actually took a bit to set up. It stalled during the process a few times, so I had to start over, which took about 20 minutes. It is on the edge of a small desk, so my papers fall on the floor. Haven't found a pull-out tray. If it scans, this is not intuitive, and I don't see an obvious button. So, this means I have to find the instructions to figure out those last 2 items. Normally, I can figure things out without instructions.

One of the worst printers I’ve owned. Difficult to connect and even more difficult to keep it connected to the internet. Difficult if not impossible to add other users and their devices. Don’t waste your time. You will only return it or throw it away and start all over again er.
