My dog ate Beneful Healthy Weight for 14 years. She was a Shepard mix and weighed about 65 pounds. She lived longer than all my large dog breeds before her. I like feeding the healthy weight food so I can give more healthy treats and balance the caloric intake.

He really did enjoy this product. The pieces seems to be the perfect size for him. They are not to hard to eat. I’m happy it’s made in the US. Every serving is loaded with twenty three essential vitamins and minerals so your dog will get all the nutrients they need. I’m very happy with this product. We started with the healthy weight because one of our fur babies is now 11 years old and a little overweight we are trying to get her back in shape. When it comes to feeding time, you don’t want to get in their way, or in front of the dishes.

Our Fox Red is a hard worker who needs to stay busy while our Black one is laid back. They're both very different girls but share their love of Beneful Healthy Weight. Being "grazers", we can leave their bowls out all day. Between them they eat about eleven cups a day and carry a "healthy weight" of about seventy pounds each. Our Vet loves how healthy both are at seven years old. Prior to 2001, when the original beef Beneful was introduced, we fed our Labs Purina Dog Chow. Our previous girls all did fine with that, but we liked both the idea of an upgrade by a brand we trusted and the recipe it used. We migrated to Healthy Weight when it came out. After twenty plus years of enjoying the benefits our dogs enjoy from Beneful products we heartily recommend it to all.

It is nutritious and keeps them healthy, and it is a good price in comparison to some of the “fancier foods.” Why would anybody trust a company more than Purina? They have been around forever and have the science that backs up their products .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hate to say it, but they just don’t like it. I have 3 small rescue dogs. I had a bag of this I bought for my OG pup last summer bc it was supposed to be okay for her diabetes, but she wouldn’t eat it. Fast forward to January when I adopt 2 more rescue dogs and fed it to them. Lulu then would it eat (probably bc at that point, she wasn’t supposed to). I made the mistake of buying another big bag of it and as soon as they tried something else, they stopped eating it. Even the dogs with food insecurity will leave it in the bowl for days. I have 9 different bags of food I’ve put out samplers from and they won’t touch it. I already bought a big bag of it, so I mix it with other foods and they’ll just pick out the beneful ones and leave them all over the floor instead of eating them. 1 is a picky eater, the other two aren’t, but they won’t touch it either anymore.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When it starts to get cooler weather, I worry about my dogs gaining weight because they can’t be as active outdoors because of the cold. I tried this Purina Beneful Healthy Weight dry dog food and they love it. They could smell it as soon as I brought in the bag and tried to get into it. Luckily, the bag is made of a strong material so it was difficult for them to rip it open and it won’t tear like other dog food packing does which means less mess for me. My dogs really seemed to love the taste and crunch of the morsels. I am able to give them less of this food than our previous brand but they still seem full and satisfied after eating it. I like that it has natural, high quality ingredients.
