This year it seemed that Turbo Tax made the entering of data, finding the entered data and saving the data more difficult. Also, we tried over 4 times to pay the fee for our state tax filing by credit card and it would NEVER connect. BUT, with ease, you could have Turbo tax deduct the amount from your checking with a $40 fee which we almost missed. So, we ended up not filing the state tax so that our federal taxes could be filed (no fees required). We will have to figure out later how to get the state tax filing and fees to work. This is not what we expect from Turbo Tax

This last version of Turbo Tax has an issue with me leaving the data on one spot open from my 1099R forms specifically from box 16 of the 1099R form. Box 16 on 1099R forms are open therefore nothing to enter and Turbo Tax is does not except that there is nothing to enter. Looked up on your help line and multiple responses stated enter line 1 or 2 from your 1099R forms and it worked and the software was happy. But why did I have to trick you software. This is not right.

I have been using TT since 1997 and like how "easy" it is. The one thing that galls me every year is your waiting to the very end before you say, "oh by the way it's going to cost you $65 in e processing fees, which in my humble opinion should be at least partially include in the $105 cost of the software. Just tell us at the very beginning so we have time to loosen our butt-cheeks up!

I've been using TurboTax for many years. I find, for my taxes, the accuracy of the calculations to be outstanding and the dropdown boxes that contain succinct descriptions of the tax code extremely helpful. However, this year some of the program changes for inputting information was a bit confusing until I understood what the program was trying to do. Also, the program crashed no less than five times! At first, I thought it was because my security software was scanning my computer when I first started but even after this was completed, the application crashed on several occasions. Other than those issues, the software worked fine and I was able to complete my taxes way ahead of schedule this year.

TurboTax is terrific and I continue to recruit my friends to use it. HOWEVER, you have to get the problem fixed for why all of the 1099 Int and 1099DIV and 1099 R info wouldn't link over from Vanguard, Wells Fargo and Charles Schwab such that I had to manually enter all of the data which was really hard especially on the 1099 DIV and 1099 R stuff. Please get this issue fixed for next year

Turbo tax did not work correctly when I first entered my 1099R. Customer service did not help me. I had to try editing and resubmitting the information multiple times. Also, I thought that the software included e filing the return and was disappointed to see a $40 fee. I was just so frustrated by then that I went ahead and paid it and filed the returns.

I completed my tax return early February but was not able to file due to Turbo Tax delay in Rental Depreciation software. Although I had no changes to the depreciation schedule, I could not look at or view the current schedule for accuracy without filing. Warning and transparent communication regarding the reason for the delay would have been appreciated. Instead, Turbo Tax updated the website and help page multiple times with unrealistic and inaccurate projection dates for repair.

Long time TurboTax customer - always find the tool very easy to follow - interfaces/downloads with financial accounts compatible thus very accurate and time saving for me - particularly like the structure of TurboTax such that I am able to walk through each section, add to, edit, pause, and return at my own pace. Support for audit protecton function is a nice add-on although I have never needed it thus far.

The turbotax software can feel predatory to use. When moving through filing, fees add up and there is little explanation or transparency as to where costs come from or why they are added. This problem could be solved by adding an intial pricing feature "Hey here is our updated prices and why they are there!" , or even an intial tax entry with something like "Lets get you started on our Pricing Feature- Dont worry, information here will carry over to return once you select your level" Not that I expect somthing like this to actually happen, but it would increase my trust the program and build confidence about avoiding hidden fees. Also, this AI generated review topic box is annoying, every time a new 'suggested review topic' is selected it deletes the text I am typing. If I am typing quickly sometimes it deletes a whole line. I cant select them either? They just appear and dissappear randomly as I type...

Not auto-filling the State of Colorado portion of federal adjustments I understand. Not providing enough information to help me figure out what goes there I consider a major fail on your side. When I did figure it out, I realized I had been missing this important deduction for many years. So far, catching it saved me $132 this year and amending 2023 to recover $62 overpaid to the state of CO. I have zero state tax owed and it's $25 to do a state efile. I told turbo tax I wanted to mail. Upon printing your program insisted that I DID efile and gave appropriate instructions for efile, NOT the instructions I needed (to mail). That actually took an unnecessary bit of time to figure out. FAIL
