The interface is too low contrast for those with vision issues.
You need to do a "dark mode" with a black background adn white print.
Blue print may look. COOL but it's not practical.  In fact, I had troubles reading it before I got old.
Next, saving.  While my federal was saved and the pdf generated, it did nor nees to automatically save the state.
Next, if you won't electronically files the sate return TELL ME WHY so Ican try to fix it!  Don't just leave me high and dry!
We're used TurboTax since it was MacInTax; still room for improvement.

TT is an amazing product for how much it does to help simplify the leviathan Federal and State Tax Codes.  I can't imagine a better product.
1. During the filing process I was not asked to get an IP PIN so the first transmission failed.
2.  During file TT said I need to mail in paper copies of my Fede tax return.  This is not necessary.

TT is a great poduct

It had the right amount of helpful hints to populate the required entries. However, some nomenclatures remain  the need of an accounting professional to interpret and the understanding in placing the correct field value. As much as one of the most relevant tax filing software. There's still room to make it better.

It could be better than it is now

I do not like how you handle investments (1099-R, -Div, -Int) after the initial input.  The summary boxes do not show the account number, only the vague name.  I have to go to Forms to figure out and input for each box that i am working on.  Edit screen also does not show total title and account number of the investment.  It's very confusing with 15 accounts to clarify. 
Arizona state is very confusing, too.

1099 input

Most of the steps went smooth, but TXF file import for 1099-DA (Crypto Filing) was not smooth. Due to TXF file format is still not fully compatible with 1099-DA format, it asked to select whether it was for digital asset for EVERY SINGLE TRANSACTION, which was not feasible for near 1000 transactions I had. I ended up using import feature which is only available on online edition of TurboTax.

My IRA provider gave me 2 1099R's for my IRA as per the IRS guidelines, one for my taxible amount or my RMD, and one for my charitable contributions part of my RMD.  When I go. through the turbotax I could only figure out how to put the RMDs in separately but I could not get them linked to my one Raymond James IRA account.  Consequently it tried to charge me a $2800 pentalty for not meeting my RMD.  It took me 4 hours and 2 phone calls to work through this.  Surely this can be made more user friendly!!!

Been using Turbo Tax since 1995. First time I had an ID PIN. I do not recall ever getting an opportunity to enter the PIN. Submitted the returns and both Fed and State were rejected because no ID PIN was supplied. You need to do a better job asking if someone has an ID PIN so it can be entered before submitting the returns and subsequently getting them rejected.

turbotax works WAY too hard to transfer people to the online version of their product.  It gives the impression that you want to own our private information.  It makes turbotax look bad and gives me personally the idea that you have bad intentions.  And when people's private information is involved, especially where the IRS may be concerned, it is a complete turn-off.

I had to call twice, and the in-person help was excellent both John and Elliot helped me solve my problems.  Finding out how to call was extremely difficult.  One was a software error that occurred during download.  The other was trying to navigate back to change how I wanted to apply my refund, part to next year's taxes.  It should not have been that hard to figure out.  The AI help is 100% WORTHLESS!

Turbo Tax is not what it used to be!

You need to fix your credit card payment process - it's been an issue for years and people are very frustrated and feel cheated. I tried so many times and your software would not work. I just had to spend $70 to use my federal refund vs. $15 for using my credit card. SHAME ON YOU!!!

Terrible payment process - stealing money

Complete and accurate tax filling with ease of use and understanding.  Help that answered questions that I had and walked me through the process.

Electronic filing and State Filing were great features that were added.  Very easy to use and it walked me through the entire process.  Desktop Software was easy to use and worked great with my computer.
