Difficulty transferring previous years data over. Too many ambiguous fees involved. I paid for state tax returns and again paid extra to file the state tax returns.

Really messed up. Could not take advantage of my free state filing. Must have seen print/save return 5 times and then would not accept a nickname 5 times,,,, come on now

This is the best way to file my taxes. It asks all the questions, checks for mistakes and gives me a confidence that my tax return is accepted and that it is accurate and complete.

Federal return was fine. For the CT state return the software was not so helpful other than prefilling forms from the Federal return information. If I had a more complex return, I would be forced to hire an accountant.

I was fine until I tried to e-file. Turbo Tax claimed I had two errors, which couldn't be fixed (the entries were zeros) so I had to print the whole thing out and file by mail. Very annoying!!1

Turbo Tax is very intuitive. Have been using it for going on 20 years now. Never had any issues. Huge benefit is that it forces accuracy by completing a thorough review for any errors it finds.

I really hate that you charge extra for a state filing, and then charge again to electronically submit the file. It is a primary reason I do not always recommend your product and each year I consider if I will continue to use this product.

Even your live tax experts usually don't know much about the "Foreign Tax Credit"? On review I had errors that had to be manually entered. The forms don't seem to link from schedule C to 1116.

TurboTax still works well, but this year we had to buy Premier version to import 1099s from our investment companies. It used to work with Deluxe version.
