Turbo tax is fine but once you get to a more complex situation financially (higher income, more assets), it is probably time to move onto an accountant to get advice.

I've been able to use TurboTax for years and found it "user friendly". Most areas have explanations attached to aide with questions. It is "error free" in calculations best of all. If you are a novice, just read the instructions.

Interface is still the same as years ago. Nothing better. Also it is a shame that TT is not able to read information from downloaded banks' pdf if one can't link with the bank though TT. TT is still not user friendly enough.

Good, but need to distinguish between child and father or mother with the same first name. Some questions were confusing when asked we didn't know if the question was for the father or child with the same first name.

Why is State and Local hidden as to what we pay? It says $25 then $40 for processing, and it defaults to this - I owe 29$ state and am not paying double in fees.

Allow for a export to Excel of what I enter to do the double check that I entered everything correctly. Also for review provide summary of what was entered for doing double check versus printing all the tax forms.

I was somewhat disappointed to see that TurboTax did NOT import my Vanguard brokerage account info properly into the tax file. I had to manually enter all the details

Very disappointed, as a retired CPA I found the new format very confusing. Wasted time going back and forth to get information from different forms and not sure if I had recorded all of the info on the return in the correct format.

mostly excellent; however, the foreign tax and AMT sections were difficult to understand. To enter a 1099 manually after downloading others was not intuitive.

I use the desktop premier version on MacOS and the program is OK at best. Getting to be clunky as compared to previous years and currently printing does not seem to work.
