I didn't engage with one of the experts, but I was extremely disappointed that Intuit has discontinued their "It's Deductible" tools and service. We have used this nearly every year for the past decade. It worked so eloquently with TurboTax, but now it's no longer available and there is no simple means for tracking, estimating and downloading items that might have been given away as gifts.

Navigating is painful and certain state forms are not available (CT PET) and you don't find that out until you pay for the state. Last year was understandable given CT's late ineptitude and late publication of the form, but that should have been remedied for the 2025 returns.

TT is not as user friendly as it once was. It does not easily link to source data and does not have much good info on the help pull down. I feel that they really want you to buy their expert help, and I don't know how "expert" that help really is, other than the operation of their software.

Don't need the expert advice, because turbo tax is very simple, ease of use, it interfaces with my banks and makes transferring information easier and W2 is a breeze to import the information , Also the features are so simple to use and never for 10 years had any audit issues, accuracy and support is the best, why need experts...

Program is no longer intuitive to use. Several issues again this year. Your daily program updates give me zero confidence in Turbo Tax being well designed tax prep software. I like to download the software rather than use the online version so I see the daily updates. For this same reason I feel the same about the online and assisted offers you have.

This year was quite bad. Vague and some inaccurate prompts. Info links that further confused things. Glitches, bugs galore. quite disappointed. Grammar issues too. I have used Turbotax for decades and this year is by far the worst! UPDATE: My federal and state returns were efile-rejected because Turbotax FAILED to ask me fr my late dad's prior year AGI even though that is required for filing. To be honest this year's Turbotax is pathetically bad. I hope it goes through now. And there is no we withi the program I could check to see Turbotax actually accepted and recorded dad's prior-year AGI after entry. This program needs a major overhaul. VERY, VERY BAD. Also, in entry of an inherited IRA-BDA, where the RMD was nt rolled over to spouse, Turbotax asks "did you transfer the inherited funds to your own IRA account? But this vague language is supposed to mean that the "inherited funds" does not refer the inherited IRA but rather only to the RMD taken from the IRA-BDA, which would NOT be inherited but rather taken as an RMD before spousal rollover. The "inherited funds" does not refer to the residual IRA-BDA funds after the RMD is taken that ARE rolled over to spouses IRA after the RMD. This is a mess. The addtionaly info provided confuses things more by discussing spousal rollover vs inherited IRAs which does not help answet question. The question should have read, "Did you transfer the RMD funds taken from the inherited IRA into your own IRA?" The way it stands, the question will be answered wrong by any careful reader and this leads to improper tax handling of those RMD funds. Turbotax also at one point asks if I have a Canadian retirement program. After I answer NO, the next screen asks how2 much I have in that Canadian program. Have the writers even used this program? AMAZINGLY BAD!!! Do better!!!

THIS YEARS AND PREVIOUS YEARS! AT THE END, BEFORE ELECTRONICALLY FILING TAXES. THE PROGRAMS PROMPTS THE USER TO PAY AN AUDIT DEFENSE OR PREMIUM FEE! WHY DO I NEED TO PAY FOR ANOTHER FEE IF I ALREADY BOUGHT THE RIGHTS TO USE THE SOFTWARE. THIS LOOKS LIKE SOME TYPE OF HIDDEN FEE! THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!

This year everything went as planned (desktop version) until a glitch occurred regarding itemized deductions versus standard deduction. The step by step interface defaulted to standard even though it was obviously better to itemize and then wouldn't let me manually switch. The step by step interface finally showed the correct refund amounts but still showed that I chose standard deductions. Checking the forms showed itemized correctly. Minus one star for this error.

My return suffered from a known bug, that had been reported in the online community pages last year in which Form 1099-DIV box 12 amounts that are taxable in MD do not transfer to form 502 Line 2. It's bad enough that you have the bug, but to know about it and not offer a work around is unacceptable. You should be transparent about known bugs and offer work arounds. Of course ideally, you should fix them. But in the interim, you should at least let customers know that the bug exists and how to deal with it.

I have been a user of Turbo Tax for many years and this year has been a very bad experience. Very riddled with errors. Especially when dealing with 529 distributions. Was not worth the price I paid for the software and I will more than likely move to another poduct.
