Software won't work

Software won't work. Crashes when trying to update. Called TurboTax, they said I need to reinstall; after telling me I shouldn't have purchased from Sams Club, that I should purchase directly from them. I've been using TurboTax for years and this version is the worst.

Turbo Tax needs some work.

There were several sections where Turbo Tax would hang up and not proceed to the next step. I had to save my return and close the application to continue. There a Schedule UE that continues to show up in my PA State return that I don't need and did not fill out.

Easier to Prepare Taxes Than to Download Software!

So far so good. I just filed and believe all will be well with IRS. Preparing my return took less time than I spent with the very kind TurboTax reps who helped me download the software. It's the first year without the discs and was a nightmare. Thank you so much.

2024 TurboTax Desktop is Disappointing in 2 Ways

This product is inferior to prior year's versions. One-The same level of in-program free assistance in earlier years is not available this year. I can pay for help, or I can google my questions on my own. But the assistance that was previously offered via a handy link and drop-down menu seems to no longer be available. Two-There is a very common, very disruptive, absurd printing problem within the Desktop version (at least for Mac if not for Windows -- not sure about Windows) that prevents printing one's return! Multiple people are complaining about it in the TurboTax Community. When one chooses "Print Return," a little "printing" window opens up, as usual when printing, which feigns that printing is about to begin. But then, the window closes, a little "boop" sound is heard, and then ... nothing. No results at all. I found a work around, but it took a lot of trial and error which was preceded by reading all I could about the problem within TurboTax's "Community" posts. Nobody had a good solution. I came up with a solution that worked for me, and then I posted that solution in 3 places on the Community boards. But this is a problem that should have been discovered before TurboTax rolled the program out. And according to several people, TurboTax has been informed of this problem already ... and yet it has not been fixed. TurboTax is getting worse and worse each year. It feels shoddy and cheapened, and I am disappointed with it.

Grateful

I am very thrilled to get through another tax year in a fairly painless process. Turbo Tax makes it as easy as possible and there is always assistance if needed. I am also grateful for the support when there is an error on my part and they are available to help get you through the IRS process. Thanks

TurboTax is an excellent tool

I've been using TurboTax for several years now, and it continues to impress me with its ease of use and reliability. This software has turned the daunting task of tax filing into a straightforward and stress-free process. The step-by-step guidance ensures that I don't miss any deductions or credits, and I appreciate how user-friendly the interface is.

Excellent!

i have been using Turbo Tax since at least 2013. The experience has been good. The only confusion is on the State of Colorado return. I am doing my granddaughter's return. They insist on knowing her vehicle ownership details but she does not own a vehicle. She is insured on one of my vehicles. Jack Wachtler

Almost perfect

The product works well, but it has a few annoyances. Why must I enter my routing and account numbers twice? I was already asked to enter them and verify when filing my federal taxes. Why do I have to repeat the same process when filing federal taxes?

It could be so much better

There are several places where your terminology is unclear and it is easy to get mislead. It would be SO MUCH EASIER if I could enter each of my receipts and indicate the type of income or expense at that time, then go back and reconcile when the data is entered. It was much more like that in the late 1980's when I introduced the product to New York City. It is a nightmare to sift through tones of pages searching for something that matches your some-times cryptic descriptions. I just spend 3 hours just trying to figure out how to get TT to tax me on an IRA conversion to my Roth.
