The needed forms were eventually available, but a few did not appear until February. Also, I was able to find the Colorado Sales tax refund item this time, but it still takes some digging. That should be automatic for anyone who is filing without having to search for the line item.

Overall I think the software is good, however, a few things that irk me. When I'm asked to enter the name of the state where I earned tax exempt interest/dividend, the software does not tell me the account number where that amount is listed eventhough I used Turbo Tax to import my 1099 forms from my broker, where I have multiple accounts. So I have to fish for that information in each of my accounts. In addition the software doesn't present to me the forms it downloaded so I can search them instead of having to download the forms again myself from my broker, in order to search them.

Make it easier to download data from Fidelity 1099s and others. It was confusing especially the first time going to end etc. Next time give it to someone that has never used TT and is unfamiliar with downloading try it out. It looks like someone who was part of the development team was approving the new code. I have been using TT and predecessor for over 40 years.

The experience was good although I have trouble with compound questions like did you do this and this....because if one is no they both are....and that always makes me nervous. I had a great deal of anxiety because I had gotten used to using the CD (that is what I learned first) and I am a disaster with the computer...more so as I get older. I would have preferred just paying the $10 more up front...as it turned out I was able to call and get some help but it makes me nervous. I am taking care of an invalid parent and this just adds to the anxiety and stress I feel. I may soon have to take the taxes somewhere because it is stressful and my taxes aren't even that complicated.

I use Turbo Tax Business for a small property rental LLC, and Premier for Federal and two states filing. Software seemed easier to use this year. No, issues, but two cases were started something and realized that was not the correct form and thought I had exited out of it, only to discover during the final review that the form was still included in my reporting so had to go back and remove it; which was not real clear on how. Specifically in one case was in Premier, started a rental process but was really with a K-1 form from the LLC so had to remove the rental process. Also, the is one confusion on the K-1 in Premier, box 20 is checked and refers to "STMT", enter the data on the statement and check the QBI amount, took me a second to figure that one out (it is important to insure the QBI Deduction.

Overall, it is a very good product. It will be nice if we can change a certain entry without going through all the preceding and trailing questions of that particular entry. For example, if one wants to add a repair cost to a rental property after he has filled in all information on that property the day before, one needs to go through all the questions again.

I have been using TTTax since 1996 to present. I have filed complicated returns. Stock , rental housing, house sales and purchases, 403Bs, IRAs, etc. TTax has always come through with complete, accurate and correct tax returns. I expect to continue using TTax in the future.

This 2024 tax year version is not as user friendly as past editions/years; The questions sometimes are not as easy to understand......many require some "study" to make for a specific answer. The flow from one topic to another is not as smooth; MY simple tax situation required too much research and took longer than the past 10 years Turbo Tax apps.

I love how Turbo Tax walks me through each step and provides more information/explanation, if needed. It would take me so much longer to get my tax return completed if I didn't have Turbo Tax! And it would probably cost me a lot more money in tax preparation fees too!

I have faithfully been using Turbo Tax every year since the early 80's when my mother gave me your program, which came in a box with a CD. It was a birthday present. I've used it when my taxes were simple, and when they got considerably more complex after I got married, bought a house, and owned stocks. It never failed me!! I would give you a 5 star rating except I feel like you forget your faithful customers who come back year after year (like me). You make lots of enticing offers to get new customers (which is good), but don't "throw many bones" to your existing current customers. I feel forgotten. That would help to make Turbo Tax a really super product. Just being remembered...
