YOU KNOW if I answered Yes to this in my prior tax return, in that case you shouldn't be asking me again, or at least you should prepopulate the correct answer if it was previously Yes in a prior year, or give me a different more intelligent prompt like "We see last year you had nondeductible IRA contributions, would you like to work on this now?" * Need to pop-up/use web browser to IMPORT data and give it some weird permission, very odd and uncomfortable, not happy this couldn't be done all within the TurboTax software like it was in all prior years. * Near the end of "Installing Updates," The progress number goes to some wacky value like "-684562%, >45 minutes" for a few seconds. * Saved my work and exited, when I came back it did not remember where I left off, it brought me back to the complete beginning. * You asked about my spouses nondeductible prior year IRA contributions, and her account value (from form 5498), but not about mine. * You have a screen that says "Let's enter <your> HSA contributions in 2024" and all the numbers are zero, you imported my 2024 return so you should have prepopulated this with the correct info, not have me dig through my old return which you already imported. * Sometimes you prepopulate a Zero ($0) in a field, then when I click into that field and start typing, you don't erase the zero, so my entry shows up with a leading zero, it probably doesn't matter but it just shows how careless your programming and testing has become. * When starting the Deductions section, I chose "Walk me through everything" and then it tells me "We've covered 2 of 10 sections, select Next to continue" - Um, no you didn't cover any sections yet, why did you skip the first two?

Couldn't download the Turbo Tax program. First time it has ever happened!!! The support person was extremely helpful!! Stayed with the installation until complete. After finishing my Federal return, the State return wouldn't load. Support was excellent again!!! Not happy with the difficulty with the program loading.

I like the import function, as I usually have investment capital gains and many different sources of income. This does save time inputting the data. Your support function is fantastic! The person I spoke with on the phone stayed with me on my issue until it was resolved. Eventually, I resolved it myself and she enthusiastically cheered for me when I did it! As for improvements, I found the interface difficult to use this year. I have an Intuit account and typically use a Chromebook without any problems to use the software. This year I encountered problems on the Chromebook. I could not get to specific forms, nor could I use the full dialogue feature to answer the in depth questions. I switched to a PC which required me to purchase the software and download it. My experience after that was typical.

Interview process was not as good as 2024. Summary only show limited info not full form. The auto download added account that was empty even though confirmed 2024 accounts. Download unclear what was downloaded in interest / div section. Adding QCD donations from RMD not clear. To review account as requested had to select manual download.

no live chats, as never could connect ! I finally got an answer with instructions that didn't work. I spent more time trying to fix issues that didn't even relate to me. PPP loans that I never had, cost me more time that it took to do my taxes, figuring out how to get around the problem!!!

I have a lot of trouble filling in Form 3840 (Like-Kind Exchange). I sold 2 properties, each in exchange for 2 other properties and the online version does not allow me to enter this properly. Due to this Im forced to use the desktop version where I can key in manually

Not as user friendly as before. Went to TurboTaxhelp.com for installation help I thought it was Turbo Tax but it was a site called Just Answer Had to pay $5.00 and they signed me up for a monthly subscription. I have used Turbo Tax since 2003 Next year I will consider other software

I have used Turbo Tax for over 20 years and have always been very satisfied, BUT this year I am very unhappy because of the inaccurate return they prepared. The final return showed I would receive a refund of $767. However, I received a noticed from the IRS that I owe $145! It seems that my social security is taxable. The IRS explained that the reason was because of my other income. Why didn't Turbo Tax know that?

Every year Turbo Tax get worse and worse. Your Importing of tax from Brokerages and others is a nightmare on Elm street. You have to carefully check to make sure you don't have duplicate and overlaping data. 2 years ago you could tell what you imported . I hate your stuff and will be trying something else next year.

Overall the software is good, I have used it for many years. However, a few prompts may be a bit clearer. I had to do my research for something they could have explained better. But mostly the 3 stars are because the software has a bug when amending prior tax returns (at least the 2024 version does). The force you to put a date that is no later than tax filing date. Which is fine for regular tax returns, but it cannot be for tax amendments!!!! I had to waste my time to print and mail it because of this bug, which is ridiculous.
