Turbo Tax makes filing simple. I expected to spend 7-8 hours sifting through all the paperwork and documents, but I actually spent 3 hours total, which included reviewing many of the alternate selections. Thanks for saving me time on my tax returns.

I used TurboTax many years ago and then used a tax preparer. I decided to use TurboTax to do my 2024 Federal and State Tax returns. IMO, the software application has become less intuitive, more difficult to understand and less helpful in directing users to the correct tax forms and boxes to reference. In particular, the IRA and K-1 sections were EXTREMELY challenging and confusing, as was the VT State area. I was taken by surprise when filing my returns and presented with a $40 charge to process my Federal refund. I had purchased TurboTax PREMIER which includes Investments/Stocks and State return, expecting ease in working the IRA & K-1 information and no charge to file my State return. These expectations were not met.

1st: Earlier years one TurboTax can install on 5 different computers, now it can only install on one computer. 2nd: The TurboTax UI buttons are out of range on my windows screen, I can't scroll down to see it, there was no scroll bar option; then I moved the TurboTax Application from my 17'' laptop to my extended 2nd 29'' screen, but the button on right lower page is cut off. I can't see the button either, I ended up with using the tabs to let the app continued.

seems to have gotten harder to use than in prior years. The final efile process has some issue with a $0 est tax payments for state and didn't give a clear error msg. I had to say don't pay now to be able to move ahead and no way to check if there will be multiple hits on my bank (I owe) for the times I went through the pages. Other minor issues throughout that I don't recall in prior years.

I already did. Very difficult to use. Does not provide enough assistance with 1099-S and the sale of a second home. The forms are horrendous to try to use. The online is worse, and the downloaded version step by step does not allow for entering the improvements individually to the residence leaving the user to guess how to include the information for each upgrade for the adjusted basis.

I REALLY hate the new section on investments. It was so much easier to update and click on the financial institution I was interested in - like the listing you get with all income. I found scrolling through confusing and since I imported the information, why was there stuff left from last year with 0s that I had to delete.

It is madding that is requests drivers license info 4 times if e-filing state. With husband and wife having joint accounts at a place, it pulls the same info from both accounts to double the amount that gets taxed. Have to manually delete the extra entries (and try to remember that it needs done). This problem has existed for at least 3 years. Most of the help popups are in a font too small to read. What you can read is meaningless IRS form quotes. I wished the thing would give some estimate of how much the itemized deductions would have to amount to before they would count. I hate the time wasted on entering the data for the standard deduction to work. Most of the W-2 and 1099s were not read correctly and had to be modified for missing data. The form to do this again has the tiny print and boxes to fill in.

I have used turbo tax for years. I had issues downloading the software and had to get help. Tammy was very helpful, but the fact I had to get her to help was an issue. Some of the steps weren't clear but I could work through it. I had som K forms and this is what I need clarification for. I am not convinced I got the best return I could get

As a TurboTax user for many years, I must advise that this year's process was the worst. 1i. The download system is terrible to implement. You should offer an option to sell the physical disk as in past years. It was much easier to load/install! 2. The Q &A feature does not take the operator back to the same location that was visited, but rather back to the start of that section. Thus must scroll down to the area of interest EACH TIME!
