I have been using TurboTax for several years. After the first year, I knew what information I need and how to arrange the information. Having the software step you through the return line items and explaining what is needed and why is very helpful. I am able to work at my own pace and return to items skipped while waiting for various tax documents.

The product is excellent and I was able to complete my return without assistance. I am disappointed Intuit no longer sells TurboTax with a CD. When I proceeded with the Internet version, I found it very cumbersome and it took some research to figure out I could purchase the original style of TurboTax online. Intuit should make it much clearer that you can still download TurboTax with the same look and feel as the version I used to purchase on a CD. I also paid more buying it directly than I would have had I purchased the code from a retailer.

I would have given it 4.9 Stars, but there are several things that are a little frustrating and could be fixed if someone was to focus on them. First of all, some of the changes in appearance format from 2023 to 2024 are not conductive to efficiently going through the input. Another example, is a very basic thing in that if your address is in a state that does NOT REQUIRE a State Income Tax submittal, stop saying/asking for it to be started or completed. There are several other items similar to this in the details of the forms or sections. So in general, I am very happy with the program.

Works well. Mostly painless as long as you have all your forms and information ready and handy. Had an issue with reporting foreign taxes paid to multiple countries as it would let you list two or more and when you go to enter the amount for one and go do the second one (and I assume third and fourth, as well), the second country is no longer listed. If you list the second country and input that amount, the previous entry for the first country was no retained. That appears to be a major bug that might not affect many but it is problematic, nonetheless.

About 20 forms were not completed by uploading from Schwab. Many had the same form title, so I just kept entering the same dividend amount over and over. The forms weren't any different in any way. I just noticed the amount I had to pay kept going up, so by enter the same amounts, I may be over paying. Also, I did the complete walk through, and Turbo Tax didn't ask me about any estimated payments. I am very disappointed with the quality of service this year and will look elsewhere next year.

Importing data from last year's return should be easier. I am not even certain of how I was able to do it. I was not able to import last year's Georgia tax credit carryover. Turbotax was looking for a .txt file but the 2023 return was in a .tax format.

I'm not happy with the way that the HSA is covered. I have been withdrawing my contributions for the past 2-3 years because the software said I over contributed. HR confirmed that I most definitely did not over contribute. I got an answer by googling it and found there was a clinch, and you had to go through the questionnaire to the end to NOT get the "you over contributed" message.

I've been using TurboTax for my personal returns for more than 50 years. Normally I give it a five-star rating but this year I am only giving it four stars because of total cost and because the help regarding form 1095-A was a little vague and misleading which added an extra day's work figuring out what the form was for and if it applied to me or not.

I have used Turbo Tax for a number of years and have always found it to be well designed and easy to use, even as my taxes have become more comlicated. If there is ever a question about something about my taxes their help tool is full of excellent and timely information.

you folks changed the 'I'll pick what to work on" for entering income. This year was a pain in the rear. Please return to the simple drop-down lists of prior years, thank you The deductions "I'll chose" appeared relatively unchanged and remained easy to navigate
