Product is overall great. One issue that keeps happening (yearly) is that when importing 1099's, you make the user solve a Captcha to log onto the account instead of simple ID/Password. Unfortunately, the Captcha is in a tiny window that, despite massive effort, the Captcha windows are cut off and you only see a portion of the windows. Happened this year and last. Took me a long time to get past that to a real sign-on. Need to fix your software so the Captcha window can be fully seen. I have a giant screen but your window is too small.

I thought the handling of 1099-Rs when the question regarding the full withdrawal was asked could have been much better as there are two ways in which it could have been done and the question only implied one of them. Note: it did not have to be line for line. It could have all been taken from a subset.

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and it has been great. This year, however, I ran into a challenge with completing the return due to a Schedule K-1 item that required filing form 8990 but Turbo Tax does not support this form. This caused me to not be able to file electronically as well as I needed to pay for Turbo Tax live support to assist in completing the form. The Turbo Tax live agent I worked with was great even though this was not a form she had dealt with before. I would request that this form be included in Turbo Tax for the coming years such that I can file electronically as I have done in the past.

You never know if the updates are complete. My Missouri showed me owing much $$$$. Then the next update I suddenly had a surplus of $1,964 because I had already prepaid what I thought I owed. I think it had something to do with Teachers and Social Security.

In general the program worked fine and the process was easy as it was for previous years, however the actual e-filing was very problematic this year as it resulted in a late submission. In previous years when e-filing the filing went through immediately upon completion of the transaction for payment of the state filing fee, but this year it did not and I thought it rather odd when I had not received the text/email message stating the returns had been filed. So I checked back into Turbotax and saw that even though it had asked to print files for record, the filing had not actually been executed which in prior years Turbotax did not ask to print files for records until after the filing was executed. Thanks to this flaw in Turbotax I am now faced with a potential penalty from the IRS for filing late. Not sure I will be filing with Turbotax in the future given this experience.

User/Payer discovers TT charges for rebate AFTER filling out all the info. TT should not be profiting from this service, it is simply part of e-filing. Plus $40 is an unearthly high fee for most users. They also make the program not user friendly to simply credit next year's tax payments instead of taking the refund. TT should not be losing bank account info in transfer. If you are designing a program to be user friendly, the entire program should be user friendly... not just what benefits the seller of the product. Fee for filing state should be no higher than what it would cost at the post office to request return receipt.

1. the pages need 2be upgraded for the current age of rectangular screens & laptops. Too much scrolling down everywhere. Most all screens have tons of wasted blank space that could help this situation. 2. Help system gets worse every year. Almost nonexistent this year. 3. the constant every year changes to screens & how/where you enter data changes every year. confusing, difficult & changes don't have added value. 4. I mistakenly created a 2nd entry 4 a Broker 4 a 1099-B & could not find a way to delete it! 5. i got a popup window after entering personal data when I tried to close sw which was about where to save. Popup went off page and I couldn't get it scroll down to all of the .essential information NOTE: I have use TT for so many years that I can't even guess when I started. Windows PC's & laptop, then switched 2 a macBook Air M3 this year. Use TT Premier from the Advantage Program.

2023 Turbo Tax was way better than 2024 Turbo Tax. There were problems in the upgrade columns where the actual number when looked at with the forms was correct but the upgrade column number was incorrect. The value pulled from the 2023 Turbo Tax in the upgrade column was also incorrect in many instances. For example you hover over the interest and dividend number it popped up with the correct number which was different than the blue number in the column.

The Turbo Tax program has become better every year. When I first started using MacInTax in 1998 I had to be very careful not to make any errors inputting my data because making corrections was painful. It was very difficult. Today, we can even use a "what if" strategy to help make decisions before December 31 and it's easy to do. There are also checks and balances to help reduce errors which is helpful. Love it!

We have paid for the software but you want to charge us another $40 processing fee to get our refund deposited in our checking account. I feel that is double dipping. You don't tell us that anywhere until we are ready to file our taxes. You should let us know about that in the sales literature if you want to be above board with your customers. That way we can decide whether buying your software is worth it or not. At least we can make an informed decision. Also the "apply my refund to next year taxes" should be an option on the same page with direct deposit. It was hard finding where the "apply my refund to next year taxes" was located in the program. Even when you go to your "help" it didn't really help because we couldn't locate where it said to go. In other words your directions were not clear or accurate!!!
