1. A bit frustrating to get help. 2. Printing forms is broken on the Mac - if they broke this basic function, what else is busted? Online forums are filled with people reporting the error, Intuit has not provided a fix as of March 2. 3. Also, I created two different returns so I could examine the difference between two different choices. The Vehicle License Fee entered in one return affected the other return. That's a serious break - the two returns should be independent of one another - and begs the question of what else is broken under the hood. I'm prompted to consider a non-Intuit product next year.

Overall a very good experience this year. Turbotax continues to walk me through the process in a simple, easy to follow and efficient manner. Makes it easier to make sure I have all the documentation / information I need to file. Filing process is simple and fast.

Continues to be the best way to file income taxes, federal and state. Sometimes the turbo tax instructions are not very clear. And I lost an hour this time because my first work on my 24 return disappeared. Not sure what happened, it was probably at my end, but it illustrates that sometimes turbo tax messaging is not crystal clear.

i had a little difficulty downloading the software, but Maria was able to help me. The panes were covering up the downloads, so I could not see that the pin sign in was there. Perhaps there is a way to tile them rather than have the panes one on top of the other.

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years, and I think the product is easy to use and I have never had a return audited or rejected by the IRS or State taxing authorities. I purchased the Premier edition as I have Treasury Bond income on Form 1099-INT. My one complaint is that it is NOT easy to find where to enter the accrued interest paid in Turbo Tax. You should be prompted with a question about accrued interest paid, rather than to have to figure out that you have to uncheck the box that says " My form has info in other boxes (this is uncommon) " to find the drop down to enter the accrued interest paid so it can be excluded from the amount reported in Box 3. Please fix this issue in future releases.

The software is still pretty efficient, but has some sloppy quirks - like inconsistent fills on form imports and inconsistent information transfer from federal to state entries. So each year I'm spending more and more time double-checking that TurboTax is doing what it is supposed to do.

The IRS manuals are terrible to read. TurboTax has a couple sentences to summarize. They have a link if you need to have a more in depth description. Also by doing this myself. Years ago I got one Tax Company to do my first time rentals so I had a good primer. I now know my tax details well. I was audited years ago three times. And won all three times. I was off by $123, so I wrote them a check. Not bad for about 40 years with TurboTax.

Had an issue with a trust document, 1041 Schedule K1. Box 14 entry was ZZ and a value. Could not figure out how to transfer values from Schedule K1 note sheet to turbo tax program. Finally left boxes in Turbo Tax Q&A blank and stepped through questions with answering. Not sure if it cost me on the refund, dollar values were less that $200.

I have used TurboTax for quite a few years. I have seen many significant improvements through the years. I never got any auditing from IRS because the use of this software. However, I do see something that could give taxpayers more convenient. That is to include as many finance institutions, investment brokers and banks as possible in your download list for tax docs. For example, Capital one bank does not seem to be in your download list for the tax docs . This was only bank (I think it is pretty big one) I had to use manual way to fill. The other was social security tax form. Hopefully IA could help you to make it even more robotic and error free. 1. Unnecessarily difficult to get set up. Instructions and design are not clear. Finding the place to input my proof of purchase key was time consuming. This should have popped up as soon as you launched the download. (I bought the online version.) 2. Overall design of the product is way worse than last year's version. Navigating around in the product is not intuitive as past versions. Spent way too much time trying to retrace steps and find what I needed. 3. Two factor authentication is fine, but the way Intuit went about it is at best clunky, and at worst very confusing.
