Investment download area was changed and not for the better. Didn't allow you to go Back once selected. Also didn't allow me to download my forms from Edward Jones saying that I had to wait until 2/6, then it changed to 2/17, yet my documents were sent to me before the end of January. You need to work with Jones to make sue they do not have a blanket policy. In the past if you tried to download and the documents weren't final you got the message that they were not final. This should be on an individual basis and not global. Also in the past it required me to log into Edward Jones, and now you don't have to, it just gives that global message about not being able to download until... I had to type everything in manually and I prefer to take this possible error in data entry away, not mention the extra time to enter it manually.

You make it difficult to find and review form 2210. By the time someone determines they will be required to pay an underpayment penalty you have to go back and complete the forms. It would be better if the form was mentioned or highlighted earlier. I seem to run into this issue every year......

Complicated and difficult to use. Does not explain each section and tax terms. Locks up and will not let you out. I had to erase figures to escape the Form INT 1099. I don't know why I owe tax this year on this federal tax form. I missed something. Something went wrong.

This year my investment income was more complicated. I decided level up from Deluxe and I am glad that I did. Between the paperwork from the Broker and Turbo Tax I think I was made the best of a complex process. I did file later than normal, but I did not want to rush. I don't know about the paid advice, I admit in another year when I made an error in my reporting, I was given bad advice which delayed my resolution. If I had stopped and thought about what I did and what I was being told I think I would not have caused a bigger problem. Truth is that is when you could not call the IRS and speak to anyone period. I am afraid that is most likely going to be the case now with all the layoffs. I think if you don't understand the rules, you probably do need to pay for the advice.

TurboTax assured me that I had completed all necessary steps in order to e-file my federal return. My IP PIN was filled in correctly, and my return was rejected twice because my "IP PNP is missing". Um...no it is not missing and is filled in correctly. Now I must print out a gazillion pages and snail mail them to the IRS. And I paid to e-file a state return, but cannot e-file it because my fed return was rejected. Dissatisfied customer. Work the bugs out TurboTax.

This new version of Turbo Tax without the CD was horrible. I have used TurboTax for over 30 years. This version without the CD was impossible to load and verify. I wasted two days trying to get it to work with no success. No help phone number is provided on the purchased package. I finally found a phone number on the web site for help. It took an additional 4 hours on the phone with the help person to finally get the software to create an account and get the account established and the software package verified. I am not pleased with the effort required. I never had this much trouble with the CD version. I am unhappy with my purchase.

The 2024 version of TurboTax was very bad. I greatly dislike how they changed the capital gains review of stock sales. This version was also extremely slow to load pages. Just an awful experience using TurboTax this year. I will be looking into other tax programs next year.

Turbo Tax software - I have been using the software for more than 20 years. It is getting more complicated and burdensome - due to the changes in the tax laws both Fed and state. This year (2024) is more so than ever. More questions, more forms and more hard to understand questions (is the designers changed through the years???) Overall - good program and I will use it again - Premier version (since 2021)

User Experience needs work. Many edit or confirm boxes are not centered on the screen, but require the user to scroll all the way to the top to confirm a deletion, or far right to find the off-screen pencil in order to edit. In addition, when i work on one area, it scrolls me all the way back to the top every time instead of staying on the area of focus (e.g. Medical)

The changes to Int, Div and Stock Sales were not helpful at all and caused me too much additional time to see what I was missing from the prior year. The software kept wanting me to input information for sales of stocks on the Oklahoma return that was not correct. It kept me from filing my Oklahoma return until I input false information.
