I find the data down loads cumbersome. Use the same on line app log on each source uses for every day access. Provide sufficient error messages when something goes wrong. I wanted to download data from Interactive Brokers which was a non IRA account with hundreds of transactions I directly downloaded. Interactive interface said it was completed' Turbo Tax never identified down load completion. I have no idea what went wrong etc. Gave up, did it all manually.

I have used TurboTax for as long as it has existed. An improvement would be to show the details for the source of 4a, 4b, 5a and 5b. The 4a & 4b IRA deductions include IRAs, (Qualified) annuities and QLACs Annuites. Lines 5a and 5b include Pensions and (Non Qualified) Annuities. You show the sources for 4a, 4b,5a and 5b all lumped together. Can you not separate the sources for 4a,4b and 5a,5b? Also, see using last year's program to estimate the estimated Tax for the current year in the review below. When there are a lot of sources for each, you have to hand calculate to check the items.

I have used Turbo Tax for over 20 years and have always been very satisfied, BUT this year I am very unhappy because of the inaccurate return they prepared. The final return showed I would receive a refund of $767. However, I received a noticed from the IRS that I owe $145! It seems that my social security is taxable. The IRS explained that the reason was because of my other income. Why didn't Turbo Tax know that?

I've been using TurboTax since 2002. For the most part I find it easy to use, but some subjects could use more elaboration. It has never steered me wrong and I believe it has helped me get the correct rebate or payment I was entitled to receive/pay. I've used it for both my federal and state taxes. I prefer the desktop app, just not sure I am ready to do this all online as I find the desktop app more convenient.

I would prefer to have a CD version of Turbo tax. This year I had a new computer and had trouble to find last years turbo tax to download as well as to install turbo tax onto my computer. Last year it only saved it as a PDF file. I needed more help from friends with more knowledge in IT to help me with download a desk top version and to find my last years file to download into this year to start working with TT.

Normally, I do my Turbo Tax on a Mac but this year my Mac wouldn't accept the O/S update to 14 so I transitioned to my Dell laptop. Not sure if that made a difference, but this year was definitely more difficult than previous years. It didn't ask me about my Social Security so when I was done with the income section, I tried to go back into it but the program wouldn't allow it. I had to wait until I got to the final review and then go back and add it. I tried to use your online help feature but the comments in there were years old. Several other instances caused wasted time as the program seemed to jump around and go back to previous sections. All in all I was disappointed with the functioning of the program and whether or not that had to do with Dell version or not, I guess only you can answer. I still appreciate Turbo Tax but will probably update my Mac for next year. Also when I tried to print the final forms, all it would let me do was create a PDF. Couldn't just hit the print button and get a copy.

2025 - harder to use... less friendly help... windings cause interface problems depending on resolution. Was I able to get my taxes done. Yes - but I literally spent an entire week working on them trying to find what turned out to be a check box. Just like the app - even the "My Review" is slow. If you type to fast it loses letters and keystrokes. Better engineering and more testing needed.

Excellent Product. This year I had more difficulty with some of the questions. I am thankful I had two Tax Experts help me: Steven on 3/1 and Timothy on 3/20 were wonderful! I filed with complete confidence in the accuracy! Very grateful for ability to import from investment companies. Very grateful that my 2024 information was used to make 2025 easier.

The tax forms are fairly easy to fill out. Security and payment is getting to take as long as doing taxes. There has got to be a better way without entering a billion numbers at least 2 times. I understand security and scammers BUT you are making it almost easier to just print and mail.

The interface with the user could use significant improvement. For example, I did not discover what the system requirements for 2025 were until I tried to download after purchasing the software. Why not include SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS on the box— as many software companies do? At the end when customers are filing, saving, printing, the header states HERE'S HOW TO SAVE YOUR FILE. Below that the only link is PRINT RETURN. There is NO SAVE FILE AS PDF link! Nuts!! Most people are sufficiently stressed by the mere act of completing their taxes. Don't add to the stress by forcing people to guess what they need to do for such simple processes as saving the file. Your software is uposedly focused on average people completing their taxes, not technology nerds.
