Tried TurboTax online (free version?) but was not able to add all my income. Purchased TurboTax Premiere so that I could include all my income. Was done with income and ready to start next when program locked up. Lost all the data. Started again and finally able to finish on the third try.

This years taxes seemed to be seamless in filing, where in the past I have had a couple bumps. I appreciate the ease of use. I appreciated that I could use the interface easily to go back to forms I had filled out to check accuracy, without having to use the back button.

Importing is NOT picking up state differences on Treasuries. As of 4/9/26 I still was unable to get TTX to generate estimated tax vouchers, even blank ones. Each year something get a tiny bit better but then there seems to be a basic thing TTX cannot do, like ES vouchers! Frustrating.

I appreciate the on-line downloads from my investment carrier and the auto fill of related documents. I believe that you can give better "age related" info about required investment payouts rather than the "you might need to take a payment info" for those over age 73....

I have been using Turbo Tax for about 20 years, and I will say that it is very easy to use. If you do not understand something, there's a helpful topic list, and help center to assist you. I only gave it 4 stars because sometimes you have to go to the form and override the information and input it in yourself. Other than that, save yourself some time and money by doing it yourself. You might just learn a few things about taxes that your tax preparer never mentions.

Very frustrated after spending an hour going in circles because TurboTax assigned a 1099-MISC to Schedule C instead of E. Even though it kept flagging the error, it never pointed me in the right direction to fix it. Ended up having to go back and delete everything and start over. I'm still not sure what I ended up with is correct, even after detailed review of all the forms. I think this is the last time I will use TurboTax after many years.

TurboTax Premier - Desktop had improvements in ease of use this year, particularly with bringing in forms electronically. However, TurboTax initially assumed that getting a federal refund would mean that I would get a state refund and encouraged me to proceed with the state taxes to get it, when instead I owed a fair amount. A minor point, but annoying.

Did not engage personally and taxes were rejected when submitted. Turbotax gave instructions on how to find the form 1095-A that was missing and had not been received. Post office said they were behind in deliveries by a month. The IRS instructions were not good on how to get the form on line. Market Place did not have a form 1095-A listed. However a search with the word "statement" eventually led to the form that was needed on the Market Place website.

The program kept flagging errors in my return, indicating that I needed to complete the state and local codes information for their respective taxes. I do not have state or local income taxes and haven't for 4 years. This was extremely aggrevating. I tried to correct it numerous times and the software would not allow me to do anything. I have used Turbo Tax for over 30 years and have never had such an irritating issue.

I've been a Turbo Tax Premier user for many years. I like Turbo Tax Premier but it makes absolutely no sense to me why Turbo Tax has to pop up a menu asking for my opinion right in the middle of filing. I have no idea why anyone thinks that is a good idea. Let me finish filing my return and then ask for my opinion.
