A lot of format changes and added a lot of extra clicks to enter the same information this year. Asking me to enter more information after review and right before submitting is too late. Need better print outs that print the necessary information without printing a 100 pages.

Overall it's a good product but the constant nudges to upgrade and/or buy audit protection, etc. are a bit much. Also, often when an error is detected at the end of the process it's very difficult to figure out the context of the error...very frustrating and in my situation it took over 3 hours to finally figure it out.

I am really impressed with TurboTax Premier - how easy it was to use, how much information it provides and how much help I got, both from looking up information and from speaking to live people who were extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with!!!

Overall I find the desktop application good, but the estimated tax section is confusing. I know I will be taking out IRA distributions in the future, but it is not clear how to handle the data input based on the interview at that point in the application.

1. In previous versions after 3-4 times saying "No" to importing from bank or other, you no longer saw that screen. Current version shows it EVERY time. 2. When choosing DIV or INT or any other box it should automatically move to next screen without having to scroll down on a (laptop) and select Enter or Next. Too many clicks!! Time is important as are ergonomics. 3. Clarify when using the word "None" as in do not enter or enter $0.00 Thanks for reading looking forward to seeing these updates in future versions. :-)

TurboTax, with its consistent improvement that it seems to do every year, is becoming a very user friendly platform. I do have one large comment. That is, as we go through our tax returns and follow your promptings, it would be nice to have links to the applicable tax or legal clauses so that we can see what the meanings of some of the terms that you use are. This would help us answer correctly and quickly. If we had a question of how it looked in the actual form, with a link to the actual form and a link back to the interview, that would help us see how it fits into the total tax picture. Please consider these. This is from a long time user of TurboTax. By the way, for a very negative time of the year, preparing taxes, TurboTax makes it halfway pleasant.

Generally, I find TurboTax meets my needs but there are two recent things that I have found super disappointing about it. 1) On Form 8606 it did not track and populate the basis in my non-deductible contributions even though I've been using Turbo Tax to file my returns for all the years in question where I had non-deductible IRA contributions. 2) It carried over into my current year tax return a Blank Form/Statement that I had filed with a previous tax return. Turbo Tax should know not to include a prior year's Blank Form/Statement. I had to delete it, but deleting it wasn't intuitive either.

I find it difficult to bring forward the prior year tax form. The last two years, I started as a new tax return because I could not previous year. I don't. know if it is because I have in a subfile. Of course that is more work. The using of the program is easy enough. I would not be able to do my own taxes if it wasn't for your program. I have stock with foreign tax and section 199 income. Your system works thru the issues.

Form 8615 D Worksheet needs to be fixed. Line 47 is picking up line 46, even though line 45 is zero. (Line 47 is supposed to be the smaller of line 45 or 46.) The only way for me to correct this is to override line 45 to show a zero (it was blank) and the override prevents me from e-filing. VERY frustrating!! This appears to be a known issue (known to users anyway) because a search in the TurboTax community shows others having the same problem. And it has been an ongoing issue that is not getting fixed. I now need to amend my prior year return because I found the same problem (the number was much smaller, so it did not get my attention) last year.

Works great until you get to date formats and then you have to use divination skills to figure out what turbotax wants. It took longer to figure out of the format. Turbotax can be a great addition, fix the items that drive me nuts and they'd get a much higher rating.
