The program for 2024 was not a good as for previous years. I mailed my state return. The filing instructions were for an e-file return. No address for sending a mailed return. I had to go to the California FTB and get instructions for the 540 form to get instructions for mailing my return. I also encountered problems when imputing expenses on my Schedule E that I did not encounter in previous years. I also, did not like no disc when purchasing the program.

Changes in the investment income section - forms 1099-DIV, etc, were not helpful. I had to do a lot of manual calculations to put in the numbers. Too much scrolling was required to return to the page and document I was working on when I selected "edit".

Couldn't Transfer my info from 2023 return Instead it transferred the ENTIRE 2023 return. Called for help and was told I would have to input myself Make it easier to locate area for Roth conversions ditto for applying refund toward next year taxes all of the above appies to the state taxes as well

Prefer a CD to load onto my computer. Don't like the option requiring e-filing state return in order to file KC earnings tax refund. Form 1116 Foreign tax credit does not allow for 2 separate investment accounts, then one account with RIC and Switzerland input.

2023 Turbo Tax was way better than 2024 Turbo Tax. There were problems in the upgrade columns where the actual number when looked at with the forms was correct but the upgrade column number was incorrect. The value pulled from the 2023 Turbo Tax in the upgrade column was also incorrect in many instances. For example you hover over the interest and dividend number it popped up with the correct number which was different than the blue number in the column.

The product is great. The problem is that Turbo tax adds additional surprising fees at the end in order to e-file. The customer is taken advantage of because the customer wants to finish the process. Any fees should be up front with the price of the software

TurboTax told me I was not eligible for the Earned Income Credit, even though I am a single mother of 2 minor chldren, and I'm not sure why. Instead, it gave me the standard deduction. Is it because I let another family member in our household claim them as dependents as they are paying the majority of household expenses? Thankyou

I've used for several years now. Adequate for medium complex returns. One suggestion would be to make the election to apply refunds to future year taxes easier to elect. The option is hidden. Can Turbo Tax add an election button to the running tax due/refund amount to make the election simple? And have an "apply full refund to next year" vs. the requirement to enter a number.

VERY FRUSTRATING, I HAVE FILED EITH TURBO TAX IN THE PAST WITHOUT PROBLEMS: THIS YEAR MY FILING KEEPS GETTING REJECTED, EVEN THOUGH ALL THE DATA IS CORRECT! YOU WANT TO CHARGE ME EXTRA TO TELL ME WHY YOUR PROGRAM ISNT WORKING? REALLY? IM RETIRED, I CAN'T AFFORED THIS. THE DEADLINE IS GETTING CLOSER, I STILL HAVE NO ANSWERS!

2024 Turbotax Premier does not work the same on a Mac as it does on a Windows machine. On the Mac, your software was difficult, didn't provide supporting information easily, and was going to cost me $3700 more in taxes than on the Windows version. Also, the upselling is obnoxious, and the surprise fees at the end to file....don't remember ever having to do that in the past. Will be looking for alternatives to TurboTax for 2025.
