I have used TurboTax for several years now. I was always able to get through without any personal contact with the company. My kids used TurboTax this year, and we hit bumps. God help you if you need to actually speak to a human being. As long as the code gets you there, it is great. After that, it is as crappy as any other tax app in terms of support.

THERE SEEMS TO BE SOME GLITCTHE FULL AMOUNT AND ALSO THE FIRST CALCULATED AMOUNT SO NOW IVE PAID OVER 500 DOLLARS TO MUCH TO THE IRS THIS YEAR, HES THIS YEAR ,CHOSE TO HAVE TURBOTAX WALK ME THRU THE WHOLE PROCESS AND THEY SKIPPED A COUPLE SECTIONS THAT CAUSED MY RETURN TO BE REJECTED TWICE AND ACTUALLY INCREASED THE AMOUNT OWED ,I PAID WHEN I FIRST SUBMITTED MY RETURN THEN WHEN THEY REJECTED IT I ENDED UP OWEING AN ADDITIONAL 2800,SO I HAD TO PAY THE RECALCULATED AMOUNT BUT HAD ALREADY PAID THE FIRST AMOUNT SO NOW I HAVE OVERPAID THE IRS THIS YEAR OVER 500 DOLLARS .I KNOW THEY WILL EVENTUALLY SEND IT BACK BUT I THINK YOU SHOULD HOLD ANY PAYMENTS TO THE IRS UNTIL THEY HAVE ACCEPTED THE RETURN .IVE BEEN USEING TURBO TAX FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THESE ISSUES HAVE COME UP

I got stuck trying to set my Federal estimated tax vouchers for th3 2025 year, I know you have a whole section dealing with this but could not find it this year. I have the deluxe version which is all I need. I never had this problem with prior TurboTax years, it is always been superb in its ease of use. Not so this year. Had to call to talk with a product expert but she also had a lot of trouble finding how to do what I wanted to do, after a long time she found the proper way to do it and solved the problem. The issue, as it turns out to be was that this version of TurboTax for Federal taxes had the W4 and the estimated tax entries in the same block of question / answer pages. This was not clear at all, not to me not to the product expert (Danielle). I was very upset, I have done my taxes with TurboTax and never had problems with it. I seriously suggest that you place estimated taxes in its own block of questions, not together with the W4. I know there are relatively few people that pay estimated taxes, but I am ready to try HR Block next year (after many years of using TurboTax) if you do not fix this problem. I should mention that the problem I encountered with estimate tax payments setup was not present in the State forms, in the State side of the tax returns the equivalent of W4 and Estimated taxes were listed separately.

I had to take over for my partner, but I can understand why she needed help. Confusing new design. One reason was after importing from Schwab and then at checkout there were "errors" found (needing to know RMD amount and such, leading to believe Schwab goofed). Another is printing out the form that the IRS will receive. Couldn't ever find that option. Maybe there, but couldn't find it. Don't have time to tell you about others.

Turbo Tax Premier made it simple to file my 2024 taxes. The import feature for my brokerage accounts eliminated manual input errors and the accurate calculations of taxes owed simplified the entire process. The home sale feature walked me through the entire associated tax process and made the process quick and easy.

Annoying that the MAC display issue hasn't been resolved since 2020! When you enter credit payment information for filing fee, display is too large and we cannot see the first lines for the name on the card and the card number. This is IMPORTANT! Please FIX!

The software is adequate, but they nickel and dime for every additional item. Someone purchasing a Federal and State package should not have to pay extra for the state return to be e-filed. I know that this has become standard for them for the last few years, so it was no surprise. I still find it deceptive and greedy.

Took quite a while to run updates, I still had to mail form 8453 even though I e-filed my federal return and I absolutely refuse to pay additional to e-file a state return so I have to mail that which annoys me to no end. Step up your game turbo tax! I should not have to deal with any of this paper mailing for the prices you charge for a relatively simple tax return!

I would be unable to file my return without Turbotax because my types of income have changed. I was a Taxpayer Assister for the IRS for 12 years and had up to date training every year on the new tax law. TurboTax not only saves me time, it makes sure I have all my Ps and Qs in order.

All menus are not intuitive. You can no longer file an E-Extension using Turbo Tax Premier, you must go to the FREE online version. Separate options should be made for Federal and State Filing for mail. Extra States should be discounted more, especially for the higher versions of Turbo Tax like Premier
