Turbo tax was harder to use this year than ever. I didn't like the way it opened and didn't show different returns to work on. I am a Washington resident and we don't have state tax, yet the program said I couldn't e-file because I didn't file a state tax form. Baloney. And why is a 3rd party designee grayed out and unable to enter the field. There is nothing wrong with having a friend help and be named. Booo Turbo tax. The whole program was difficult to navigate this year.

Numerous issues withe desktop version 1. The e-trade statements didn't import correctly and was not able to make a change as it was erroring out. Had to enter manually 2. Robinhood didn't import and had to enter manually. The reason for error was not shown. Once the account number and document id was entered and continue button was tapped, nothing happened. 3. No option to import Webull 4. Very poor UI compared to the online version I will never use this going forward

TT is the only decent product for US taxpayers, including those living abroad. These latter though, are discriminated as only payments from a credit card with a US-based address is allowed. If citizenship-based taxation is in place, then also citizenship-based rights (including the right to have a non-US address and a non-US bank) should be acknowledged. Wondering why this is so difficult to understand.

Would like to see more help on stock sales that do not have a cost bases ( non covered) provided. Maybe some kind of link to historical sales to a third part provider. I know it would require a lot of data, that is why I am suggesting a third party.

Very expensive. Confusing pricing. Online pricing options unclear. Was forced to buy retail. Misinformation on number of Federal efiles and process. Bait and switch on state efille. Seven year customer- Very disappointed. Had to buy 2 retail sets. Wasted lot of money and lot of stresses

Tax program itself is ok. The problem starts when you want to print your return. It won't print! You can e-file, no problem, but if you want to print a copy for your own records, which you simply must do, you are out of luck! Maybe it's just because I'm using a mac computer, but they wanted me to pay $60 for tech support, which I refused to do. I should not have to pay to solve their program problems! I will not use Turbo Tax next year.

When importing information from a year earlier , it does not give you option to skip previous year expenses from a different version. At the end it would stop you and still show information and had to trick it by adding zeros. ALso, we do we pay additional money , after buying the program to be able to file the state.

I tested software as an engineer for most of my career. I know "buggy" programs when I see them. I rarely (over about 20 years) have had a problem with Turbo Tax. Always good explanations for complex, gray areas in the tax code (of which there are many).

Most of the program worked well, but there were some errors in my entries. When I was entering my tax credit information for a biomass heater, the program placed several wrong answers to some of the questions. Otherwise, all of the calculations seemed correct.

software is too expensive. some sections are misleading, for example, the software advised to buy and update in order to get more refund. I followed the instructions and paid extra for the upgrade but got a message that I was not qualified for the refund/deduction
