I have used Turbotax for over 10 years and this version is the worst one yet. It seemed to calculate my tax OK, although I am skeptical. The user interface seems to be dumbed down quite a bit. Also one feature for foreign tax paid didn't work at all. Just keep hiring idiots to rewrite this and I'll give it 2 stars next year!

I had two special situations that TurboTax did not handle well for me for tax year 2025. Those were: recording of a worthless stock situation and the filing of form 709 (gifting related). I had to do significant research outside of TurboTax to figure out what to do. Form 709 wasn't available in TurboTax and will have to be manually prepared and mailed outside of TurboTax. That was disappointing.

This year's product was glitchy and not enough explanation besides looking up on IRS site or using AI for questions. Some steps don't make sense ore TTax was not doing steps correctly. Too many gotcha fees also this year. Not super confident taxes are correct. May be harder to use on a MacBook Pro and using Safari as a browser. Know more than a few people

The process went well until I was ready to file and hit a snag that should have been fixed by now. I have a 1099-R from the OPM. When going through the review, I'm told I have to enter the State Distribution (box 16a) in Turbotax. The CSA-1099-R from OPM does not have a box 16a. The online version was awful. I will never try that again. I will stick with the desktop version. I have the desktop version and gave the online version a try. The online version said I owed over $12K!!! That was not the case. It missed critical deductions. Simple ones like mortgage interest.

I have used Turbo Tax and Quickbooks software for years and I have found the software to be accurate, reliable and intuitive. The only problems that I have is the push to pay a high-cost annual online subscription that everyone is going to and outsourcing the customer relations to India where it is difficult to understand what they are saying as they try to speak English.

Overall I think Turbo Tax is awesome and guides me through much of the tough items. 90 percent understandable. except for some small glitches, in this one an entry for additional medical info when the line was ( 0 ) info not needed. Mostly your making the product aval. only online is a bother to me and Im sure others. like a book, I want to read the hard copy and hold it in my hands. Having to download does not give me a hard copy of the program which can be easier reloaded if one needs to. I dont trust the internet nor our Govt to do the right thing for us, thus I will not enter my information online, nor will I E-file, unless turbo tax decides to make it a requirement then Im sure that there are other ways to do my taxes without having to enter my info online. THE WEB CAN'T BE TRUSTED

I engaged the support team twice this year due to problems I was having getting rid of errors related to a Ponzi scheme. They worked very closely with me to help isolate the problem until I was able to discover the problem myself. But they al least were able to get me to the right area. I've used Turbo Tax every year since 2007 or possibly earlier. There hasn't been a single tax computation I haven't been able to resolve. I've sold houses, had small businesses, losses from Ponzi schemes, stock options, had to recharacterize IRA transactions, you name it. Turbo tax is one of the easiest tax programs to use. I used to follow their interview process to do my taxes, but I've become so familiar with their format that i now just jump right into each section I need to work on. If you haven't tried it yet, you nee o give it a try. I think you'll be pleasantry surprised.

Because several software programs where no longer being supported by my older Windows 10 computer, we decided to purchase a new computer with Windows 11. I had zero issues with 2025 Turbo Tax Premier down loading, setting up, and filing. I've used Turbo Tax in the past and once I got it loaded, I liked how easily it walks you through each step.

This years taxes seemed to be seamless in filing, where in the past I have had a couple bumps. I appreciate the ease of use. I appreciated that I could use the interface easily to go back to forms I had filled out to check accuracy, without having to use the back button.
