I have been using this software since its inception. Obviously I have trusted it and have not been disappointed. My only regret is that Intuit has not reciprocated my decades-long loyalty with a price reduction for each subsequent tax year. My renewal cost is actually significantly more than commercially available at both online and brick and mortar retailers.

This has been the worst TurboTax experience I have ever had after many, many, many years of using. Some information was available in uploaded forms but still had to be entered this year. Have not had to in past years. The upselling has got to stop!!

NY estimated taxes caused an inescapable loop. They were calculated on the initial runthrough, but showed up as $0 in the filing section. I went back to state taxes and went through again. It came up as the real number, and I went back to filing section. I elected to have them deducted. The next page said in red letters that it was $0, and I couldn't change. I gave up and canceled payments.

I have used Turbo Tax for several years. This year the Energy Credit form 5695 caused my return to be rejected by the IRS on February 27, 2026.. I did a ton of research and many hours of my time to try and find out what happened. I found out that it was a Turbo Tax calculation error and was supposed to be fixed on March 6, 2026. It has not been fixed, and I read other people's advice to delete the form and start over. I did that and it was exactly the same. I manually entered "NO" on Line 25A to see if that would solve it. I do not know if it was accepted or rejected at this point. I am going to look for an alternative tax filing company next year. This was very stressful and disappointing.

I'm a long time user of TurboTax online. I tried TurboTax Premier desktop version for the first time. The support for California domestic partners is dismal. It's all well documented online and I have little to add. If you live in a community property state like California and are in an RDP, look elsewhere for help with filing your returns. TurboTax is a disaster in this respect. The software has some useability issues. For example, for the most part it's impossible to copy and paste the tet from the UI elsewhere. I wanted to lookup more information on certain things and I had to retype them into the Google prompt. I have also run into issues with text rendering. There were pages where text was rendered on top of other text making it illegible. It's not possible to open two instances of the app to copy and paste field values from one to another. You have to open a return, copy, open another return and paste. But I do like the fact that you can have an unlimited quantity of federal returns.

I have been using TT for decades, and my impression is that the quality of the product is declining. Every year there seems to be more manual entry required. At the most basic level, I couldn't even import my USAA 1099's. I'm willing accept tha increasing complexity is part of the problem, but what you've done with charitable deductions is unconscionable. With It's deductible, entry was relatively easy. The new system is more that cumbersome, it's an abomination and creating a new form 8283 is insane.

Many of the different areas were not available till late January. I found several mistakes that were corrected but not until March, 2026. This is not acceptable at all. Trying to contact TurboTax was a major joke. TurboTax was a lot better in the past, not so much now. Perhaps this was all due to the various tax law changes?

It was easier to complete taxes myself without TurboTax. First, you are required to create an account even though you are installing desktop software. This defeats the purpose of completing your taxes offline. After installing, you are constantly bombarded with popups advising you to upgrade to their web-based software or use their live assistants for additional fees. I understand informing the consumer of your products, but if I've rejected the upgrade four times already, what makes you think I will happily accept it on the fifth offer? When I tried to upload my forms, I was again required to verify my TurboTax login before it would import the form. Why should I even have to have an account for a copy of software running locally and supposedly offline? The software has bugs where if you choose for it to walk you through every step it will skip very important steps. For example, it completely skipped the section where you claim child tax credits even though I selected I had dependents. If I had not caught this it would be a difference of thousands of dollars. It also produced errors in my tax forms that were found by my CPA. When I went to file, I was informed that the add-ons I purchased to complete state taxes did not apply to e-file and I would have to pay an additional fee to complete my e-file. Even this review form has bugs where the AI detection of review topics is preventing text entry when typing more than 10 words per minute. I will never buy an Intuit product again.

Because several software programs where no longer being supported by my older Windows 10 computer, we decided to purchase a new computer with Windows 11. I had zero issues with 2025 Turbo Tax Premier down loading, setting up, and filing. I've used Turbo Tax in the past and once I got it loaded, I liked how easily it walks you through each step.

WHEN TRYING TO USE CREDIT CARD TO PAY TO EFILE STATE RETURN, THE DROPDOWN BUTTON FOR THE MONYH OF MY CARD EXPIRATION DATE PLACED THE 10 0VER THE BQCK BUTTON TO THE INFO WAS NO ADDED TO THE FORM. i HAD TO USE A DIFFERENT CARD WITH A JANUARY EXPIRATION DATE TO ENTER THE INFORMATION
