The 2025 version works a lot better than previous versions, in that for a joint return the interface doesn't ask for spouse tax liability amounts anymore. This hung-up e-file for me for many years as every year the returns were rejected because I entered a number for the spouse information. So, I had to assemble and print out paper returns to file.

The program is not as self-explanatory as it has been in the past. When downloading from my investment account in previous years the program only required one connection to the internet, in this version there was numerous connections one for dividends, one for interest, etc. I often seemed to be stuck in a loop downloading the same information multiple times

I am a first time Turbo Tax user and am pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to file my returns. The UI is very intuitive, the direct account linking and import of documents makes it super convenient and error-free to enter all the details. There is a lot of information online through other users and experts about how to handle specific scenarios. Overall very happy and would recommend this to all friends and family.

TurboTax is excellent. Makes a complex task as easy as possible. It would be even better if, when you go to download documents from a brokerage, it showed you what you have already downloaded. I often wondeer if I am downloading my info more than once.

The 2025 version of Turbo Tax was glichy and lost some "ease of use for users" from the previous versions. Sometimes when clicking on notes for additional information, the note was "blank. Sometime software would not let my back out of a screen, sometimes the fill in boxes would not allow you to enter nothing, requiring the user to choose a downdown item when was nothing on the tax form to enter (1009-Q distribution section). Also - the font sizes seem to change randomly, making the product appear less than professional. Will give Turbo Tax one more year before I switch tax software

I have been using TurboTax for a very long time. I think it does a good job of transferring last year's tax information which saves time. However, given that I already pay a large sum of money for the use TurboTax, I strongly feel that electronic filing for the state taxes should already be included. I could understand if the system limited the use of the electronic filing to one use, but electronic filing would be made so much simpler if the cost of e-File for states would be a major advantage over any other method.

Turbotax ease of use is awesome! The ability to download documents and review when otherwise would be very confusing is a great support feature. Mac OS compatibility is a win/win for me. The Accuracy is spot on, with any and every question that I have had. Turbotax will continue to be my one and only tax program.

Turbo Tax used to be a great product, but not anymore. The things that distract me the most when I want to concentrate on doing my taxes are: (1) the non-stop screens that try to sell me stuff I don't need; (2) removing Its Deductible without telling me BEFORE I bought the product; and (3) the constant attempts to get me to use the online version instead of the desktop version. I will never buy Turbo Tax again.

Filing was easy, but I wish I knew about the $40 processing fee for returns before I paid. I probably still would have purchased the software, but I didn't like being surprised. I ended up opting to mail my return instead, since Certified mail for two letters is still cheaper than the processing fee.

I have used TurboTax for 10 years. This year was a horrible experience. The eFile feature didn't work as it has in the past. Online search reveals this is a TurboTax glitch that they haven't fixed, involving TurboTax requiring both a pin and the 2024 AGI amount to eFile and the IRS rejecting the eFile b/c it will accept one of these but not both. My only option now is to print and mail. Even that feature is not working properly in TurboTax. When I chose print and mail, it didn't print and instead tried to sell me more services. I can print manually from the pdf but will have to find the mailing addresses myself. Frustrating.
