Very good, as usual. Though this year I had an issue with an IRA where part of it was spun off to a new IRA. Turbotax handled the resulting RMD requirement satisfied by the new IRA poorly, or should I say not at all without tricking it. Also sometimes the navigation back to old screens causes the subsequent forward navigation to skip steps. that were previously presented.

Ugly interface, and buggy, too. Crashed multiple times on an up-to-date Mac and somehow forgot to ask multiple state-required questions by the end so I had to go back and manually answer them. Multiple tax forms that I needed did not appear so I had to search manually. Even simple text input while writing this review is bugging out. And they have the gall to keep trying to squeeze extra money out of you throughout the process. I'm disgusted and will use the much more easy-to-use free options that are now available. I find TurboTax Premier very difficult to use. I choose to input forms manually vs importing information. I like to have control over my inputs. It is very difficult to navigate where to input forms and the step by step is no help. Additionally, my 1099's from my brokerage accounts have DIV, INT and B all on the same document. You have to input them in 3 different places in TurboTax, not 1 form with all 3 different inputs.

Turbo Tax would not allow me to use direct debit or deposit, even after I verified and confirmed my Bank of America Routing number from their website. It forced me to have to mail a check and wait to get a state refund check versus direct deposit and debit. you need to fix this bug

Guidance in how to switch from Easy Steps to Forms and back is non-existence. Software for RMDs is defective. One of my accounts did not require an RMD this year, but I did take a withdrawal. I could not get the withdrawal to satisfy the RMD for another accunt until I said that the RMD requirement for the first ccount was $1(even though that was not true). You should have fixed this because I found in a TurboTax chat in the spring of 2025 that this was the necessary work around. Also, space in software for including an explanation on Form 5329 is strange and difficult to use.

Love Turbotax. But two big misses. First, upon filing, all of a sudden I was notified that there was a Turbotax update. Why that later. Second, my return was rejected because I had not submitted an IRS PIN I received. There was no question in all of the entry process to ask if that had been received.

Two issues arose. Older computer would not allow turbotax use. Had to revert to another computer which meant transfers.' Download from Financial Institution would not work after multiple tries. Heard from another person that ter download did not work for the either.

put and reinput the zip code, verified it on the USPS website. I checked your customer form and found it has been a known error since February. I have tried some of the fixes. And now my return is in an envelop and heading to the USPS to be mailed. The filing for the FED return is one of the reasons that I have purchase Turbo Tax for many many years...... Maybe there is a better option. will be looking.

I had some trouble using my Premier version. It reverted to online Deluxe version and realized when it asked for payment. But when I did for my older daughter I didn't have the issue. But Turbo Tax agent was patient and helpful. Also when i clicked one button it started buffering and I have to force shut and lost all my work.
