Sophomoric programming fix

When attempted to file the returns, the program put me into a loop from which I could not ignore. The fix was a simple check mark in a box about Schedule A which had not been checked. Why is there not a solution available when such a situation exists? This is unbelievable and sincerely damages the branding of TurboTax product.

All in all, pretty darn good

I thought the software was pretty good this year. A place or two where the cursor could have been in the right location when the page loaded where it was not, some things where the wording was a bit confusing for me to understand. However, consider both of those nit-picks. My biggest issue is that I can't decipher how the software came up with the amount of tax that I owed. Seems to me that this is purely numerical once you have taken into account all deductions/credits and whether the source income is ordinary or qualified, but I could never make sense of it and that frustrates me.

Turbo Tax is Not Awesome!

It is become increasingly non-user friendly. For instance, I needed to see the year over year comparison. It is no where to be found. When I did a search that did not prove successful. Now, there is glitch E-filing and I have no idea why. Even a glitch typing this review where words are appearing and disappearing. Sigh

Problem with edit button on 1099 screen

Had a slight problem with reporting 1099 information. My previous year 1099 suppliers list was pre-populated (as in years past), but I was unable to edit them to report this years data. In other words, the edit button did not work and so I had to reenter the institution information fresh, then delete the same pre-populated institution, since I couldn't edit it.

The new web version is awful. Desk top version OK.

I found the Web version very difficult (impossible) to use as I could not enter information when I had it ready and available to enter. Exasperated, I then moved to the Desktop version and could then move around to enter information as it became available. I will never even try to use the web version again!

TurboTax keeps getting more confusing

First the UI has gotten increasingly confusing. The flow is not as smooth as it used to be and it does seem like the guided process is not as easy to follow as before. There are definitely elements of the UI that is not intuitive as to what the user is supposed to do. For instance, the interest portion used to walk through all the entries from the previous year and ask if they were still relevant but now we just get a bunch of boxes all with "needs review". Ok, it needs review but what am I supposed to do with that. I don't know what is going on with TurboTax but it is increasingly getting more and more cryptic for the user. Just go back to the way it was a few years back when the flow and UI made much more sense.

Terrible

You have made filing much more difficult this year. I've used Turbo Tax Premier Desktop for many many years and have always had the ability to save PDF version or text version on my computer (not on your online listing). This year, every time I attempt, to do that, you ask me to sign in and then start to make things more difficult.

TurboTax Made Tax Filing Simple and Stress-Free

TurboTax made filing my taxes way easier than I expected. The step-by-step guidance is clear and simple, and I liked how it automatically imported my W-2, saving me time. The interface is very user-friendly, and the error checks gave me confidence everything was accurate. It is a bit pricey, but for the convenience and peace of mind, it’s worth it. Overall, a smooth and stress-free experience!

IT STINKS

IT STINKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've used TurboTax for years, but this year after paying and going though the full data entry process, it would not complete the filing process and near the end it would not complete the process to file, and kep insisting I must fill out an aditional 700+ pages of additional forms for capital gains, which were provided by Edward Jones, inc. So, I took my printed forms to a tax advisor and they said I was doing everything correctly, aud TurboTax would not let me file neitjer Federal nor Virginia. It was a fiasco and frustrating to say the least. Apparently I consulted wih a TurboTax Customer Services Reprentative who had me erase my Capital Gains entries and reload them from Edward Jones three times, but the answer was the same. In order to file Federal and Virginia income taxes, I was forced to reprint everything and manually mail the returns. I heard there was a problem with TurboTax regarding Capital Gains... If so it should have been corrected through an update

Turbo Tax

The program is no longer user friendly. I had several questions to inquire about, but the program would not allow me to research the questions instead the program would continuously go to chat bot. I like to read not ... I also used the online program and was 100% unsatisfied so I purchased the desk top version. I may look into other programs available for next year.
