The payment method would not take any credit card payment. I tried 5 different credit cards and none of them were accepted. The only way to electronic file was to pay another $40 to Turbo Tax to have the money withheld from my federal refund. WHAT A RIP OFF Turbo Tax!!!!!!!! I check online and found many, many other people are having the same problem, it just isn't me like the help person stated. LIES!!!! FIX THE PROBLEM!!!!! When I do my taxes and this problem is still an issues I WILL NOT BE PURCHASING TURBO TAX IN THE FUTURE.

Annoyed this year as I switched from online to software. Difficult to transition between the two. Also, buggy software wouldn't let me file electronically because of the way they imported a form, until I deleted teh form and entered it manually. Paying too much to do TurboTaxes job for them.

Some of the UI took a step back. Cumbersome in too many places. When you confirm what forms you are going to use this year from last, and then download those forms, there are duplicate entries in the INT/DIV/ section. Also, when entering Social Security, there is a convoluted question (double negative) about not living in a country. Even when you answer it correctly, it takes you to Canadian Pension fund question that you have to ignore - and then you can't get rid of it in the summary.

The UI/UX on this version of TurboTax was terrible. It started off by constant reminders to do taxes online. I don't want to! The section on income/investments was confusing and unclear as to what was done and what needed review. The app constantly threw modals up asking for feedback. Just stop. Also, the typeface and leading were terrible small/tight and not adjustable.

My wife converted $36,220 from traditional IRA to Roth IRA in 2024 and she did not have any nondeductible contributions to her IRAs. She filed 2024 Form 8606 with box 14 (Total basis) as blank and reported $36,220 on Line 16 and $0 on Line 17 (using TurboTax 2024). In 2025, she converted $26,361 from traditional IRA to Roth IRA. TurboTax 2025 generated her 2025 Form 8006 with Line 2 (total basis in traditional IRAs) as $36,220, which is NOT correct. After searched the answers from Google and TurboTax support, I am confirmed that TurboTax 2025 generates the wrong value of $36,220 on Part I Line 1 (Total basis in traditional IRAs) in the "IRA Information Worksheet" for spouse. I have to manually open the form to correct it as $0. Please correct the software defect!

I have used for Turbo Tax for years and think the changes made to navigate, especially within Investments were cumbersome and not clear. For example, it was not at all clear how to manually enter Form 1099's. Also, when you got to the place to Allow the import there is no message to indicate it was successfully imported. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Last year's software was much better.

PROS: This software does a lot of the work for you and I have used it for years. I trust that they have knowledge to get things right in my return. CONS: I have complained about the navigation through fields and they have never change anything. Enter will not go the next field and pop-up scroll window do not scroll with the wheel. Mention it again this year. Also they want you to purchase add-ons as you go through filing which are expensive and 9/10 not needed for my filing. I think they raise the State Efile fee to essentially negate the credit from Sam's.

I was disappointed. Seems like the software was actually better in years past, or at a minimum there's been no improvement. I expected AI to make this way better but it hasn't seemed to. Gemini was more helpful with navigating the program than Turbo Tax itself was. When I can't import data I should be able to drag and drop tax forms and be done.

It used to be very easy to use Turbo Tax. Questions for entering data were straight forward and if topics or items were confusing or needing additional explanation there were clear explanations in pop up boxes. This year however it is much more confusing (and our tax situation did not change so that is not the reason). Pop up boxes are still present, but many link you to other resources or are circular in explanation. The connection between the step by step and forms is also no longer accurate. In previous years I could click between step by step and forms and see exactly what I was doing on a form but this year it would bring you back to some other area or section when using that option. Also when doing calculations for estimated taxes you should be able to change all numbers. It gave us the senior exemptions, and we could not remove it. Therefore our "estimated" taxable income was way off. I had to put in other amounts just to get the taxable income up were I truly estimated it would be. If you know what you are doing and what to anticipate in terms of taxes then turbo tax is fine, but Turbo Tax has increase the complexity to increase the need for paying for extra help through the product.

Turbotax is a great program for doing your taxes. Installation was a hassle! I mean what the heck is a Login Keychain Password?! once I figured that out, I got it started. Also, after the files are installed you need to swipe their icon into the applications. Then you need to go into applications and click on it there. Just a few hiccups on installation but everything after that was easy. This is typical of computer people. They always make it harder for normal people to use the software.
