the software all seems to work pretty well overall. the document imports especially were a lot nicer than how I used to just manually transcribe everything over, since I was being cheap. but, for the last few parts where I had to enter in the date and my state and stuff, please change the dropdown lists to comboboxes. also, (and this one is really nitpicky, even for me), there was a piece of the UI saying "we found this deduction for you", but it was just the standard deduction. so yeah, where would I be if it weren't for you helping me out there, right? also, I think that the "AI-generated review topics" card above this text box is stealing focus when the selected review topics changes, and it's eating my keystrokes. I am probably a faster typist, so it is really noticeable for me. also, why are you requiring me to enter in a review title and nickname? come on, there is no way you are getting anything useful there. and you didn't even set a max length on the nickname field, for shame.

I would rate higher for most years and this year except Turbotax is not compatible with Windows 10. Since Microsoft offers paid support for 1 year Turbotax should have been available for Windows 10 as well as 11. This caused a lot of extra effort on my part to complete my taxes as the online version does NOT calculate and compute taxes the same as the desktop software I purchased.

Need to increase these line numbers beyond 4000 for stock trades. Your web version needs to be data compatible with the desktop version. Your help topics doesn't always address your questions. Used DeductAble for transferring my donations into turbo tax premier 2025, but after transferring all data, I still had to input all location addresses for each donation date, which was time consuming.

I felt the Online version railroaded me. I wasn't allowed to choose what I wanted to work on. So I went with the Desktop version. But, the Desktop version will NOT let you download financial information from third parties if your copy of Windows 11 isn't activated. Thus, Turbo Tax forces you to pay for and activate Windows 11 if you want to use the Desktop verson. However this turned out to nullify my Desktop choice because Windows 11 just inserted the Cloud (One Drive) into my file paths without asking, In the end I might as well have been using the Online version.

put and reinput the zip code, verified it on the USPS website. I checked your customer form and found it has been a known error since February. I have tried some of the fixes. And now my return is in an envelop and heading to the USPS to be mailed. The filing for the FED return is one of the reasons that I have purchase Turbo Tax for many many years...... Maybe there is a better option. will be looking.

WHAT I LIKED? THE IMPORTING OF DATA FROM MULTIPLE SOURCES. SAVED SO MUCH TIME ON INPUTTING INFO. NOW THE PROBLEM: A WEIRD GLITCH PREVENTS THE UPLOADING OF LAST YEAR'S TAX FORM UNTIL YOU EXIT THE PROGRAM AND RELOAD. TOOK ME 45 MINUTES OF RESEARCHING THE WEB TO DISCOVER THE REMEDY THAT SOMEONE ELSE REPORTED. EVEN TURBOTAX EXPERTS DID NOT KNOW THE ANSWER. IF THIS ISSUE HAD BEEN READILY NOTED THEN I WOULD'VE HAVE BEEN DONE EVEN SOONER.

Turbo Tax made filing very simple and easy. The accuracy and the fallowing of all the current law changes is impressive. This is particularly true as you use it year after year. However, there are some areas that could still provide some additional information of what needs to be addressed after it does its checks.

The HSA section was clunky and a bit circular, because I spent HSA dollars from a previous year (disbursement), but did not have an HDHP and did not contribute to an HSA in the 2025 tax year. Still, the main checklist kept prompting me to complete the section, even though I had done so. It was also not clear where some capital gains distributions were coming from or being captured. Finally, it would be very helpful if there was a printed summary page of charitable contributions, rather than multiple pages for each charity. I feel like this used to exist, but no more ... and that's cumbersome. As a DC resident (taxation without representation), it would have been helpful if there were more guidance on issues pertaining to OBBBA conformity (or nonconformity).

The software's interface was straight forward and easy enough to follow. I did not encounter any issues with this year's returns. The only issue that I did encounter was when I went to enter my credit card information for paying the filing fees. The form would not show all of the months in the pull-down list nor would it let me scroll down the list to select the month value that I needed. To resolve the problem I had to reset my Display Text size settings. on my computer. The issue could have been avoided had I been allowed to type the value I needed or the combo box selection contained a scroll bar to allow me to scroll through the list.

Prior years I received exceptional support. Short waiting time and knowledgeable personnel. This year I had to deal with an 800 number that only wanted to text/email an address before offering a Human. Not sure which was better. Humans that I spoke with (on 3 different occasions) were very polite, friendly but not very knowledgeable specific to my questions. Several times your phone system dropped me. On one occasion the staffer called me back (unexpectedly). The s/w is very complex and you need experienced users available to answer unique questions.
