I have been using Turbo Tax for over 15 years and every single year you have problems importing my investment info from Edward Jones. This year again, there were over 25 errors that I had to manually correct. When I look at my printed Consolidated 1099's from Edward Jones all of the answers are in there.

I went through Federal, State (Ohio) and School taxes without a hitch. I efiled federal, then wanted to efile state for the first time. Then I discovered two problems. 1) I need to provide the state with additional documentation, but could not attach additional docs. 2) I could not find anywhere whether my Ohio School income tax return would be included if I E-filed my state. It was not until after i was almost completely through with the state e-file that the school taxes were mentioned. Very frustrating not knowing before the end.

I was disappointed that the system would not calculate my 2024 Social Security Adjustment payment. I had to do a good bit of research to figure it out before I could file. Also, it required me to research my 2024 Spousal Tax Liability adjustment, another time consuming effort, even though I was able to import my correct 2024 Turbotax return.

I've been using TurboTax for years. This year the software made some undesirable changes -- Font size got smaller (need to make bigger- everyone got bigger monitors now) less printing options when printing up your returns, moving data over wasn't friendly - user should be able to move data through a saved PDF file from last years return (people to buy new computers)-- this software didn't allow this. Going through the software for filing seemed to not flow as it was setup in the past (maybe since a remember the flow in the past versions)

The ability to import detailed Schedule D transactions from brokers -- AWFUL for 2025 but great in prior years. Why did you change? I have hundreds of transactions to import, with always a few requiring cost or date adjustment. You have made it very difficult for 2025, to the point that after using TT for about 35 years, I will be looking for another provider.

Your tax software is so complete that I can prepare my federal and NC returns accurately within just 2 hours. I have been using TurboTax for at least 35 years and I can confidently say that I could not do my own tax returns at all without TurboTax.

Turbo Tax Premier is unable to process inherited Roth IRA's. It processes everything as having been inherited after 2020 but even then reverts to loops where it confuses information and does not provide input for the deceased. It taxes the entire amount. RMD's? Turbo Tax is unable to separate RMD's for regular IRA, Roth IRA, and inherited Roth IRA's. Very frustrating. Using the phone in chat feature is a waste of time. The wait time is outrageous and the tech does not know the answers. Sharing my screen with someone I do not know who does NOT know what they are doing is not a pleasant experience. Give me directions to complete the changes I need to make without sharing my screen. Update your features. Use the current laws. This year's version feels like some AI chatbot driven creation. I have little confidence in the product.

Gennerally work well, however, there a few things it could do better. Example: Wisconsin offers a $2400 senior credit, but taking it wipes out certain other credits. Turbo Tax should automatically test both scenarios and tell you which is best. Also, too much effort to sell add-on services

Very difficult completing other state (SC) tax return. Confusing, ambiguous about what data needs to be inputted. Specifically, whether I put in my state of residence vs. state of non-residence. This has resulted in a delay electronically filing for a refund I am due.

I always do my taxes the old-fashioned way(by hand) first to see my tax refund/bill. Then I load my all my financial tax data into TurboTax to see if my return agrees with TT. Then I know I have included everything I should before I file my return. This gives me piece of mind that I've done it correctly.
