This year, the application seemed more complex than in prior years. This year I had to search for and provide RMD information unlike other years. Also, the IP PIN input page did not come up automatically, I had to search for it. The information related to the requirement for reporting foreign bank accounts via a separate Form was confusing.

I have used Turbo Tax for probably 25 years or so .,..however long they have been around. I had more issues this year with things than in any previous year. Trying to get my EV credit into the return unsuccessfully and then having to back it out and file without it. Then I had to do an amended return and for some reason it remembered that I tried to put it in earlier and made it an nonrefundable tax credit. In short I had to do my entire return and mail in a hard copy of the amended return. Needless to say I may look elsewhere for tax software next year.

While I was working on my tax return on the same computer, TurboTax asked me to RE-activate my license code repeatedly. It is very frustrating. I am using TurboTax DeskTop. I should not have to sign into Intuit all the time, and I should not have to enter my TurboTax Desktop license code over and over again on the same computer. Please fix this license code problem next year!

The interface is easy to use, intuitive and enables accurate filing. Technical support is outstanding. Intuit TT's Representative Katherine's service was highly professional, extremely thorough with a wonderfully courteous and patient demeanor. Thank you!

TurboTax stated that it would determine if it was best for me to take a standard deduction or to itemize, but determined before I entered medical costs or pharmacy costs that I shoud take the standard deduction. In fact, it did not allow me to enter medical or pharmacy costs, but defaulted to $0 for each. I had significant medical costs due to spine surgery and a hip replacement which would have resulted in a relatively high dollar among with itemizing. How could TurboTax determine that the standard deduction was the best option before all itemizable data was entered. TurboTax gave no explanation for preventing the entry of medical and pharmacy data. There may be a good reason, but it was not given. Not happy that TurboTax left me in the dark on this issue so I coiuld give it 5 stars. I never encountered this is prior years using TurboTax.

My experience this year was shadowed by an experience filing my 2024 taxes. The IRS kept my refund for nearly 6 months without giving us a reason. After many hours of phone calls and letters as directed we finally got our refund. I do not anticipate the same problem this year, but it could happen. My concern is that after importing information from the 2024 forms the 2025 program showed a refund of more than $14,000 dollars. After ups and downs during the entering of information the number did not vary by much ending with a figure very much like las year. I did use two professionals during the process, and they were very helpful in getting my information in the correct places.

The first version I had was the deluxe. The menus have changed from previous years and the flow is clunky. I ended up in loops when trying to enter sale of a house data and had to actually exit the program to escape. It turns out I had to upgrade to enter info on selling a vacation home and then still encountered some loops. The help menu was displayed in HUGE text in a small box that could not be resized so it was unreadable. The top menus had font problems, too. The words were cut in half. The prompts on screen were more for tax professionals than mere taxpayer mortals and often I had no idea what the words or initials stood for and had to just guess at the appropriate response. When asking the bot how to report a bug (the endless loop) I got unrelated ridiculous suggestions. I've probably been doing my taxes with Turbotax for 25 years, but this will probably be the last time. It was PAINFUL.

The data was easy to input, and I trust the calculations. I would just input some data each day. When I was finished, I clicked File and then Save. It would save a new Turbo Tax icon on my laptop each time, Who do I call? Turbo Tax also listed the same person's taxes as a new return 3 times. Even though I have only done 1 tax return, my Turbo Tax is showing 3 tax returns. I have used Turbo Tax for years. I never had this problem before.

Easy to use, conveniently fills repetitive info. We've been using Turbotax over 15 years now, and so far, no audits--knock on wood--despite having Schedules C, D, E, F, and the obnoxious 1031s. We had CPAs check our returns 2x out of 15+ years, and only because of a super complicated 1031. Not bad for DIY using Turbotax--which goes to show it's an excellent program.

Disappointed with the 2025 desktop version. I've used Turbo Tax for more than 10 years. I upgraded my computer specifically so I could use Turbo Tax. It was able to access my prior year...but couldn't seem to be able to upload my financial info. It covered topics with very iffy descriptions. I was so concerned, I re-ran my info with another platform, to verify the results. They matched, but really, I shouldn't have felt the need
