The 2025 version of Turbo Tax was glichy and lost some "ease of use for users" from the previous versions. Sometimes when clicking on notes for additional information, the note was "blank. Sometime software would not let my back out of a screen, sometimes the fill in boxes would not allow you to enter nothing, requiring the user to choose a downdown item when was nothing on the tax form to enter (1009-Q distribution section). Also - the font sizes seem to change randomly, making the product appear less than professional. Will give Turbo Tax one more year before I switch tax software

Using MAC desktop version. Interface very poor. No automatic continuation from one session to the next. App seems not to recognize that a return is in process session to session. Printing options and process is not useful. The ability to select individual forms to print is inhibited by the size of the "form" selection window.. All in all, the Mac version is a poor implementation of the application. Sad that the Windows version will now only run on Windows 11. Really sad that I'll have to purchase a new computer just to run Turbotax. This may be my final year to use the app.

You failed to alert the tax preparer that there were additional costs associated with handling the refund until the end. Further, you sent a text message telling us that the Federal filing was rejected but didn't tell us why. Was the taxes package sent and who rejected them? We completed them according to program instructions. This is about 6th year we have used Turbotax and maybe the last.

This year was a mess as opposed to last year. This year forms from my financial institutions weren't uploaded correctly, and some questions were not correct (eligibility for the Trump account was incorrectly stated). As a result, it took me around 4.5 hours to complete it.

Changes have been made to TTax. Did not like process for inputting income. Continued to ask if I wanted to import, told me items needed review but didn't allow me to open and edit. Would not allow me to delete old payer info if I did things out of (your) order. Also, after I finally deleted some old payer info, it kept reappearing. Preparing taxes was more painful this year than in past years.

Not very clear when Form 1095-A is entered, but Form 8962 doesn't appear and there was payment from taxpaper for few months and HRA account was used to pay for other months. Even the community postings are not clear enough. Processing of tax returns was not as smooth as other years, took a long time for the research with no clear direction as to what to do.

i have used Turbo Tax in the past with good results, however, this year, the California State return keeps going to the same spot, the 592-B info, and refuses to transmit the return until i edit the 592-B info, but then the return does not transmit. It is a little frustrating to go through this seven times already and I am still unable to transmit my state return.

The first version I had was the deluxe. The menus have changed from previous years and the flow is clunky. I ended up in loops when trying to enter sale of a house data and had to actually exit the program to escape. It turns out I had to upgrade to enter info on selling a vacation home and then still encountered some loops. The help menu was displayed in HUGE text in a small box that could not be resized so it was unreadable. The top menus had font problems, too. The words were cut in half. The prompts on screen were more for tax professionals than mere taxpayer mortals and often I had no idea what the words or initials stood for and had to just guess at the appropriate response. When asking the bot how to report a bug (the endless loop) I got unrelated ridiculous suggestions. I've probably been doing my taxes with Turbotax for 25 years, but this will probably be the last time. It was PAINFUL.

I e-filed by state and fed taxes using Turbotax Premier on 4/13. Payment was due for both and entered the bank info for direct debit from my checking account to be paid on 4/14. Later that evening I used IRS Direct Pay to pay estimated taxes on 4/14. The next morning (4/14) the estimated tax payment was deducted from my checking but not the payments I tried to make through Turbotax on the 13th. Late in the afternoon there was still no income tax payment. I called and was able to get through to Turbotax. I was told the return was accepted and payment is scheduled and should still go out today. But by the late that evening on the 14th still no tax payment from my checking through Turbotax so I scheduled payment of the income tax due using IRS Direct Pay which went through. Same issue with my state (NC) taxes. Unfortunately, the state doesn't direct debit payments as fast as the feds so my payment will be late. Can't trust Turbotax anymore for tax payments.

Because several software programs where no longer being supported by my older Windows 10 computer, we decided to purchase a new computer with Windows 11. I had zero issues with 2025 Turbo Tax Premier down loading, setting up, and filing. I've used Turbo Tax in the past and once I got it loaded, I liked how easily it walks you through each step.
