Bug Reporting/Support

The product is okay. I realize taxes are complex and sometimes forms might have errors but once I find a bug I should be able to easily report it and know h it will be corrected. There is no obvious place to report bugs, no easy way of knowing when one will be fixed after I wasted an hour on the phone after spending hours trying to report the bug online. Make it easier!

THS IS REALLY SUCKS!

We've been trying to e-file our State of Wisconsin taxes for over 2 weeks. They keep getting rejected. The State of Wisconsin helped us correct the first error but the later rejections give no reason. The State of Wisconsin keeps telling us that TurboTax has to up date their software to reflect how Wisconsin is handling Retiree's income and to wait a couple of days and refile. The first up date was supposed to be on 2/13/2026 & the last update was yesterday 2/20/2026. We refile & keep getting rejected. No reasons as to why we are getting rejected. Could you please fix the problem? Getting real tired of the process & I am not a happy camper.

Good product.

Tax returns for my wife and I are relatively simple - just pensions, social security, stocks, dividends, and interest. TurboTax was very good about guiding me through the various topics and downloading the pertinent information from my broker. I did have a question about the home energy tax credit because I had purchased energy efficient sliding glass doors, and TurboTax's explanation about qualifying for the credit were sufficient for me to determine that I did not qualify for the credit. Unfortunately, I did not ask the vendor or manufacturer whether the doors were Energy Star-rated, so that meant that I did not qualify for the credit.

Turbotax used to be awesome!!! Now sucks

Past years program was easy to interface with prepare taxes. Has become much more difficult, program kept asking for import of information from RWBaird that was already provided with first import. Also feel betrayed by the $40 processing fee for federal return, advertised as free for first 5 federal with premier. In summation, I found the whole experience this to be very frustrating and difficult.

Really Appreciate the Desktop compared to new onli

I tried the online version, but the desktop is far more inviting and easy to follow. I only tried the online version because it was not clear whether TT was dividing the categories into e.g., desktop=must mail it in vs. online= dont have to mail return in. The online version could be most improved by copying the more comprehensive instructions in the desktop version--or inviting only certain eg "EZ" filers..That point could have been made clearer at the entry points.

Turbox Tax installation process is horrible.

I had installation issue this year and last year. The problem is the same that when I tried to do the verification and log into my existing Intuit account via your TurboTax App, it kept saying "Access is denied" without even present me a web interface requesting password. By the way, I have no problem to log into my Intuit account via web browser (using Edge or Chrome" So the issue is definitely not about my authentications but rather something about the handshake between my request for log in to your TurboTax Server. Last year's problem I fixed on my own. This year's problem I opened 3 support tickets with your Support Center. None of the 3 support Rep really understood the root of the issue. The last one (which is supposed to be handled by an Escalation Engineer is among the worse. I already explained to her that we have tried all the following in the first two troubleshooting sessions such as: - disable the VPN and all anti-virus - updated MS last patches - verified the license code. But I told her that the "Access is denied" issue is happening even before the need of presenting the license code. But she kept saying my license code was not the right code and started questing me all the questions about where and when I purchased the software. I gave up tried to convince up and let her repeated all the stuff that we already did it multiple times in the first 2 troubleshoot sessions and sure enough none of that help. She then promised me that she will escalate the case further up and let me know the status. But I have not heard from her at all. Not even with an email saying what is the support case number. I think she just did not file anything to prevent your company know how bad she did. I finally go around the problem by using my wife email address to create a new Intuit account in order to bypassed the "Access is denied" problem. I am not sure how I would fix the same problem if it comes up again next year since I already used my email and my wife email to create two Intuit accounts.

TurboTax Just Works!

Turbotax saves us money when compared to other methods for filing our taxes, and we are learning new things each year from using the product. Even though the tax code changes all the time, the TurboTax interface is familiar and we don't have worry about its accuracy. When necessary, the support people are friendly and knowledgeable. We are able to load the same product on our Mac OS and Windows platforms. New features show up year which makes things easier.

Software does not function properly

Software issues this year were very disappointing. The loss carryover did not transfer from the prior year return, so I had to enter it manually. The import from Fidelity failed 5 times, though the amounts showed up on the forms but not the tax returns and calculated my refunds incorrectly. These are software issues, which have been reliable almost every year since I started using TT in 1997. These issues need to be addressed.

Great Product

Great product that I will continue to use and recommend. One suggestion would be to enable turbo tax to read previous year's return and enter info from that return where appropriate. For the 2025 return I had to manually open the previous year's return, search for some information, and manually enter it.

Turbotax Premier Desktop review

The Premier Desktop program was good, as usual, but it had a couple of problems in the income entry area that required calls for support. The business I was receiving income from was not listed in the search list and required what I would call a work around. The hold time to talk to a tax expert was very long, but once I was able to talk to the expert, help was outstanding.
