Need More Americans

At the beginning I was having trouble downloading TurboTax to my desktop because I was trying to install the "Mac" app on my "Windows" PC. After the second call into TurboTax, I was able to speak with an American that had a good phone connection. It was smooth sailing after that.

Unnecessary Prompt for Full Service

I did multiple returns and for every return the software continued to waste time by asking if you wanted to move to their full-service product. It was very frustrating and annoying to continually have to answer that same question every time. They need to have an opt out ability.

Turbo Tax is Great But Needs Some Improvement

I have been using TurboTax since 1995 and find it very helpful; but, here are some areas that could use improvement: 1) Every time I opened Turbo Tax it updated the software which is great; however, when I tried to continue where I left off, it started me off at step one which was very frustrating. I expect it to only return me to the beginning if there are changes to that area, and then it would be nice to go directly to the affected area. 2) When performing verification of my income from my investment accounts, I accessed my investment account, and downloaded all of the information using the digital process and it had listed several items as individual 1099's where each one would result in a repeat of the pre-described process for the same investment accounts. 3) When it came time to look at capital loss carryover, the software was asking me to go back and look at my previous years return and verify that I had or did not have any loss carryover; I expect it know that answer because I use the create the current year from my last year's return. 4) It keeps bothering me about filing a state tax return; however, my state does not have a state tax return. I expect it to know which states don't have a state tax requirement. 5) Since Its Deductible is no longer available, it would be helpful if there was a csv import option for importing from other online charitable donation software systems.

Pitiful Filing Fee Payment process

When it came time to file taxes, I was unable to do so because all of my credit cards had an expiration month after August. The user interface would not allow me to enter any month beyond 8. I used help and followed the recommendation, but they did not solve the problem. I find it unacceptable that a product has such a blatant bug that will not allow certain credit cards. I ended up using a reserve card that had an earlier expiration month. This was not my desired choice.

Awesome !

My fault for waiting so long to file however. it would be great if you guys did support these older years of turbo tax and at least let them connect to the server! Absolutely zero help in getting them to work. But I did manage. Just a thought. I love turbotax programs... I have been using it since 2001

Turbo Tax is the only tax software we use.

We have used Turbo Tax for many years probably since a full version for pc was available. So it appears to be 24 years and we have not been audited and have never lost the tax file to work on. I tried to use my saved progress one morning recently and the .tax2025 was gone. We had to restart after 5 hours of working on the program. 5 stars except for the loss of the tax file.

new turbo tax versions are a disappointment

I have used the old deluxe version of turbo tax for many years and always was very satisfied. This new desktop version is a disappointment because it has created a number of extra steps in tax return preparation and is not very user friendly. I hope you plan on keeping the desktop version because I do not want my tax return records on the cloud. i have no idea why you would have eliminated the Schedule D transactions from the former old deluxe version which was a great software product.

Great to do your own tax return

Questions asked to make it easy to complete tax return. Various Help options are always available for unique situations. I import from Quicken which sometimes duplicates data like charitable contributions, which is easily rectified. I have been using Turbo tax Premier for many years. Never had an issue with Federal returns.

Improvements for next tax season for turbo tax

Need to increase these line numbers beyond 4000 for stock trades. Your web version needs to be data compatible with the desktop version. Your help topics doesn't always address your questions. Used DeductAble for transferring my donations into turbo tax premier 2025, but after transferring all data, I still had to input all location addresses for each donation date, which was time consuming.
