The tax forms are fairly easy to fill out. Security and payment is getting to take as long as doing taxes. There has got to be a better way without entering a billion numbers at least 2 times. I understand security and scammers BUT you are making it almost easier to just print and mail.

I have been using TurboTax for years. I am confident that my returns are correct. My returns include W2, 1099R, Social Security, Interest Income, Rental Income, and Royalty income. It is very easy to use for income and deductions. I would recommend TurboTax to anyone and save the cost of going to a CPA.

this year I had a trouble with the updates. Don't know weather its Windows 11 or you, the updates took forever to complete. one night i went to bed and in the morning the update had a error message. so I updated again and it went thru. Had to ask ChatGPT how to enter my IP pin, I used the desktop version.

IT JUST GETS WORSE AND MORE CONFUSING EVERY YEAR.

It is extremely frustrating when working on state taxes. There are aways screens where I am asked to enter information from fields on the federal forms. TurboTax has the information yet it is not integrated enough to import this information. Likewise it will ask for information from the previous year's forms that I also created using TurboTax.

It is good enough and better than the other software I've tried. However, its clunky, slow and isn't fully reliable. Remember to save often! It doesn't always copy forward previous year records accurately. I usually run into one or two bugs each year forcing me to correct the forms manually. Its slow. It no longer works with Windows 10!

TT is generally useful for completing Federal and State tax returns however it includes some extremely annoying and persistent (over the course of many years) 'features' that are infuriating! There are many cases where the current year's TT asks me to enter prior year's values even though one of the advertised and useful features of TT is the 'import' of prior year's return into the current year's return so that I don't have to remember all those values. The 2025 TT continues problems in easily completing the Foreign Income Tax Credit calculations and schedules. The problem begins with the Income section where the interview does not itemize more than 1 source of Foreign Income per broker. The 2025 TT was improved by providing explicit instructions on how to manage Foreign Income which was helpful however those neglected to mention if one has multiple country sources to use the VAR entry and to total those into a single entry per broker. It might be better if TT would simply collect the foreign tax amounts, the country source and the income amounts that generated the taxes individually and decide what to do with them later in the interview. Then during the Foreign Tax Credit calculation part of the interview for some unknown reason TT automatically first uses any Foreign Tax originating from a K1 even though that amount might not be the largest (the Fed requires the largest amount to be listed first on the schedule) which the explicit instructions say to 'delete' and re-enter later. Why doesn't TT bucket this amount with the other foreign taxes so the user can more easily select the largest - or better simply fix this entire flow so the user doesn't have to waste so much time with fussy unproductive allocations ? That is what such software is supposed to do for us - RIGHT ?

Not great with their software. When you give back buton then i see that they have not displayed or clculated 1099-INT. Even though individually in one category they have displayed but did not use it for tax calcualtions. This software does not save work in between and only save at the last. Also no help/support link in the downloaded software.

I have used Turbotax on my desktop Mac for almost two decades. This year Intuit tried really hard to get me to do it “online”, but I'd rather not have all this information stored in their servers forever. The number of financial firms who have been hacked is extensive. yes, there are laws and information distributions, and payment for identity theft recovery costs, but no-one ever seems to get put out of business and until they do there will be thefts.

kept asking me to go to online tax return,if i wanted that i would have bought it,when went to file state and local tax didnt give me an option to file by mail,only efile., why cant this program be used on windows 10,this isnt a high speed program, ive been using turbo tax for years, this may be my last.
