Really Appreciate the Desktop compared to new onli

I tried the online version, but the desktop is far more inviting and easy to follow. I only tried the online version because it was not clear whether TT was dividing the categories into e.g., desktop=must mail it in vs. online= dont have to mail return in. The online version could be most improved by copying the more comprehensive instructions in the desktop version--or inviting only certain eg "EZ" filers..That point could have been made clearer at the entry points.

Beware the Switch from Online to Software

Annoyed this year as I switched from online to software. Difficult to transition between the two. Also, buggy software wouldn't let me file electronically because of the way they imported a form, until I deleted teh form and entered it manually. Paying too much to do TurboTaxes job for them.

Poor internal hep/support

I will NOT be able to finish the return without extensive help and constant consultations with ChatGPT. There were numbers of issues, answer/choices selections, etc. that were difficult, especially for a novice /senior user. The internal help was useless!

Good but can improve - Add features for NRA spouse

Overall a good experience filing again this year but one improvement can be made to allow me to e-file next year: Please add the ability to input NRA (for Non Resident Alien) in spouse's social field. My spouse is an NRA and not able to file taxes until US immigration proceeds further and she is assigned a social security number. While there was a question about NRA's in this year's turbo tax product, answering that she was an NRA for the full year still required me to input numerical values for her social security number. Since that is a required field I have to mail my returns and manually type in NRA onto the return generated by TurboTax

TurboTax

I completed my return without needing help from anyone. I was surprised when my returns were rejected. Evidently the government was still updating some information and was told to come back after 3/6. We'll see if they go through today. Sometimes there's a little confusion between my Intuit personal account and my business account for QuickBooks.

Quirky at Times

I had great difficulty importing from my Investment account.I don't know if it was TurboTax or my Investment account. I still needed to do some editing since address and other items did not import. This was the first year that I had to upgrade to TurboTax Premier. This was created by the need of one form. There wasn't even much information needed on that form. $34 seem like a lot of money for one form! I am near the point of just sending out to have the taxes done professionally. By the time you buy the software, pay for an upgrade for Premier, pay an additional fee for e-filing, I am not sure I am saving money

THS IS REALLY SUCKS!

We've been trying to e-file our State of Wisconsin taxes for over 2 weeks. They keep getting rejected. The State of Wisconsin helped us correct the first error but the later rejections give no reason. The State of Wisconsin keeps telling us that TurboTax has to up date their software to reflect how Wisconsin is handling Retiree's income and to wait a couple of days and refile. The first up date was supposed to be on 2/13/2026 & the last update was yesterday 2/20/2026. We refile & keep getting rejected. No reasons as to why we are getting rejected. Could you please fix the problem? Getting real tired of the process & I am not a happy camper.

Crippled software

This will be the very last year I have used your Tax software and note I have used TurboTax since its inception! For a while I did business to business sales and highly recommended your software and for over 30 years I have been involved with supporting IT for small businesses. I will no longer use or recommend your software after you crippled the software to not install on Windows 10 EVEN though Microsoft allows for additional support for Windows 10. How much did Microsoft pay to cripple your software for Windows 10?

Have been using TurboTax for 10+ years

I have always loved TurboTax and have never had an issue until this year. For some reason it did not update my TurboTax when I opened it to do my taxes. For this reason, it got stuck on transmitting my returns. TurboTax wanted to charge me a fee to help with this issue. I finally just shut down my computer and when it came backup, it finally update my TurboTax and let me transmit my return. Other than that, Love It!

Good, but not perfect

TurboTax failed to suggest proper standard vs itemized deduction method when filing Idaho state return. It was better for me to use standard deduction for state due to size of health insurance deduction. Turbotax missed this. Also, failed to provide place to reduce dividend income on State tax return by amount of income from US gov't securities (greater than 50%) classified as dividends rather than "interest."
