BAC / TurboTax (Intuit): The interface between Merrill and INTU failed during importing data from Merrill into TurboTax. After brief time, TurboTax displayed message saying the data import failed try later. I retried many times; created new TurboTax files again but still failed. Eventually, I entered the Merrill data by hand. Not only was the manual process tedious but the chance of error was greatly increased. Note: TurboTax was able to import data from Merrill Edge successfully. Note: Each attempt to import data from Merrill, I received email from Merrill, “We received your consent to share your account info with Intuit”.

I have been a Turbo tax users for many years. This year I was very disappointed in the product. Error loading W-2, many issues with internet connection. Problems downloading investments from brokerage accounts. Install challenges. Too many for what has been a good product in the past.

I could not recommend TurboTax. I had too many problems getting this program up and running. One of the verifications was to check boxes but you have it on a box which was too small to get the whole picture. Also, there was a K-1 that should have had a form 703 associated with it because there were losses from that caused carryforwards that would have eaten up the profit reported in the current year.

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and continue to use it because of the people who have been so quick to help me get over some bumps that I was totally unaware of until I got more and more involved. This year was fortunate to have Aaron assist me. He was and is fantastic. I am 86 years old and not a technological genius! I'm sure as we continued to help me,there were times he had to be frustrated yet he never seemed to exhibit it. I was totally impressed with his knowledge and expertise, he was able to guide - even me to success. I will continue to look to Turbo Tax for the 2026 edition.

I have used Turbo Tax successfully for many years, but this year you have a "known software incompatibility issue" with communicating with brokerages. This caused me to manually enter all my information, which took me many hours. Please fix this, I beg you.

Turbo Tax Premier kept putting in a Canadian Retirement Pension in my worksheet and I kept trying to delete it because I don't have it, but it would not go away. There were a lot of folks having this problem since software was released and no fix. When a bug is found, it needs to be fixed immediately. Had to go into forms and remove it there and make sure it was not filed. Also, some questions need more explanation and program is buggy. This software cost a lot, and I will consider new software next year.

no live chats, as never could connect ! I finally got an answer with instructions that didn't work. I spent more time trying to fix issues that didn't even relate to me. PPP loans that I never had, cost me more time that it took to do my taxes, figuring out how to get around the problem!!!

Secify what browser should be used for bank and investnment transfers. MicroSoft Edge and Firefox dont work well. Only Google Crome. It would save the customer time by not having to call for technical support to rersolve a browser compatibility issue.

The software asked for some extra information right before the last step of e-filing. This should have been done at the review stage/check stage. The software should show an underpayment penalty with an alert or warning, instead of just burying it with tax due.

I do not have the option to refuse audit defense. This railroading has me going to a different tax software of provider in the future. As it is I have to file a paper return because you have me locked up in a never ending circle of purchasing your stupid support. I know AI will ignore this and you don't even respond to anyone asking these questions. Your support on how to refuse the audit defense is not accurate and it's a scam.
