Does not do a good job of clearly showing carry over amounts or providing options on use. When I don't qualify for a deduction, especially ones played up on most medias, would desire it clearly state I don't qualify. It does not have to be detailed. That way would not have to worry I missed doing something which prevented me from deduction.

Accuracy is spot on. I didn't realize for a while that you have to scroll down on some pages to find "continue". That caused some anxiety until I figured it out. I was already worried that I might not do this correctly due to my wife passing away last year. And having RMD's to deal with including QCD's and the rest of the RMD. It was not explained that the QCD's are one full RMD and the rest of the distribution is considered another full RMD. Your tax expert explained that to me and the rest was smooth sailing. So the support is great and inexpensive. I liked all of the features that I used.

The tax software is complete. I usually have some difficulty entering the K-1 forms as yhou always force me to make an entry for code AE manually. I always have to search your help section or on-line blogs to find the answer. Would help if this we handled electronically. Also K-1 for Limited partnership is difficult and Turbo Tax only provides limited help. Otherwise I really like the software and how it flows and help make sure all areas are visited.

I've used Turbo Tax for decades, but no more. The quality has steadily declined. It is basically just the forms and the help is useless. The price is high and their fees are too much especially given the poor quality. I've decided to use a local accountant who will do it for me and e-file it for less than this tax software. By the way, the Intuit sign-in is enough to drive a person insane. NEVER AGAIN!!

Been using TurboTax successfully for over 20 years now. There always seems to be one little thing that requires clarification. This time it was concerning the recording of unreimbursed Medical expenses to claim under the itemized deduction rules. It cost me the $60 support fee in order to establish that TurboTax was assuming stupidity on my part by expecting EVERY out of pocket Medical expense be recorded and then removing the HSA distribution on the Medical WKS before entering the total on the Schedule A. The guidance through the EasyStep process needs to be much clearer. I'll take a refund of my $60 please.

It was easier to complete taxes myself without TurboTax. First, you are required to create an account even though you are installing desktop software. This defeats the purpose of completing your taxes offline. After installing, you are constantly bombarded with popups advising you to upgrade to their web-based software or use their live assistants for additional fees. I understand informing the consumer of your products, but if I've rejected the upgrade four times already, what makes you think I will happily accept it on the fifth offer? When I tried to upload my forms, I was again required to verify my TurboTax login before it would import the form. Why should I even have to have an account for a copy of software running locally and supposedly offline? The software has bugs where if you choose for it to walk you through every step it will skip very important steps. For example, it completely skipped the section where you claim child tax credits even though I selected I had dependents. If I had not caught this it would be a difference of thousands of dollars. It also produced errors in my tax forms that were found by my CPA. When I went to file, I was informed that the add-ons I purchased to complete state taxes did not apply to e-file and I would have to pay an additional fee to complete my e-file. Even this review form has bugs where the AI detection of review topics is preventing text entry when typing more than 10 words per minute. I will never buy an Intuit product again.

I have used turbo tax for 20+ years and this was the first year that I found the "learn more" explanations to be extremely non-helpful. Even pulling the form to review was not enough (usually that is all I need). Had to actually go to irs.gov and download instructions for the form I needed.

I have always liked turbotax in my I think 30 years of using it, but this years version was the most frustrating I have ever experienced. After a few days of sorting out what looks like this version seemed to have carried over all my income accounts from last year with no information on the forms but my name and SS number and the name of the account provider, but when I imported some of my main account providers it did not replace the ones it carried with the ones I imported so I ended up with double the accounts and half of them did not have any info which caused error saying needed attention but I could not figure that out because the ones that were brought over from 2024 did not bring over the associated account numbers. What a mess I would be glad to better explain this to anyone interested. ALSO I really hope you do not force us to change over to your online version, if so I will no longer us turbotax going forward

I love Turbotax. I have used it for over 25 years. I continue to hate your website, and I have reported this every year but it's still horrible. Why can't you just have a menu item to go directly to the program for download. I know you want to keep pushing paid services but there are people who know how to-do taxes without needing help. PLEASE make your website more user friendly. Other than that comment, i would give you 5 stars. One more thing, charge to file state is a bit excessive.

It took forever to get updated to a useable version this year. The ability to download information from financial institutions also came out late. The constant nagging to use the on-line version was irritating. I tried the on-line version and it didn't work at all. There are problems with the RMDs and my brokerage firm since they gave me two 1099R forms: one for my QCD and one for the withdrawal. I had to guess how to handle it. Also basic information like my name and address did not transfer.
