TTax still makes 1099-R's confusing when 2 people have one or more each. You have to research your account number to associate it to which person when it shou know when you import it based on the account number and name. TTax should know the Capital Gains threshold for State reporting - and stop trying to push State filing down our throats when it's NOT REQUIRED. IF TTax can save our SSN's for annual review, why can't Driver License be remember and just reviewed as well? You know if a license is expired based on prior entered date!

This is the 35th year that I've used Turbo Tax to calculate my income taxes. I use Turbo Tax because it is accurate, compatible, and the interfacing with financial institutions makes it very easy to complete this task. While I don't have a complicated tax situation right now, the features of Turbo Tax makes it easy to cruise through the various income and deduction topics allowing me an opportunity to better understand various tax issues and situations. I have survived two audits dealing with charitable giving without complications. The support that I received from Turbo Tax was helpful.

In years past, I have consistently rated TTP with a 5 Star rating, but I'm only giving it 4 Stars because I had several problems with entering data. The section dealing with my 1099R had to be revisited several times in order to update the 2025 figures. And during one of the attempts, I completely killed my entire return and sent me back to "start a new return", a most distressing occurrence!!! I am not happy with all the revised format changes because I have been using TTP for many years now and I found the new formatting to be cumbersome to use. Otherwise, I am pleased with the product overall, as I have been in the past. I would have given 3 Stars because of my level of frustration, but felt that would have been too harsh on ths excellent product.

The main reason I have for using Turbo Tax is that it imports tax forms from Fidelity. Otherwise it's a bit more expensive and not that much different from other software I've used like Block and TaxAct. The support people required a substantial wait and were a bit difficult for me to understand - accent / phone noise. Importing tax data from Fidelity and banks had a few glitches, but worked well enough after a few tries. A little disappointed in the info offered after filing - no comparision with others and few useful suggestions for next year. I used the desktop version up til now, but the on-line version seems like the way to go in the future... no updates to wait through and more questions and hopefully info.

Although I was careful to enter the actual dates of my estimated tax payments in 2025, I noticed when I was printing my state tax return (after filing) that the dates had defaulted to the estimated tax due dates, not the actual dates I paid. That apparently happened last year also, although I did not see it until TurboTax reported I'd paid my 2024 4th installment on January 15, 2025 (which is why I was careful to enter the actual payment dates). Other than that glitch, I am happy with how TurboTax works and its accuracy.

Turbo Tax is solid as always. My one suggestion would be that they carry over more info from your previous return than they currently do. I would love it if they saved my W-2 info except the amounts (e.g., all employer info including state TIN). It does cary over a lot but I am always surprised that I have to fill in as much as I do each year when nothing changes.

Basically user friendly if you have some knowledge preparing taxes. Some of the questions were hard to answer, I used to be able to import from my financial institution. Cant e file amendments. It would be helpful to have pictures of what the forms look like to make sure we are including all out information. It was not

I thought the software was pretty good this year. A place or two where the cursor could have been in the right location when the page loaded where it was not, some things where the wording was a bit confusing for me to understand. However, consider both of those nit-picks. My biggest issue is that I can't decipher how the software came up with the amount of tax that I owed. Seems to me that this is purely numerical once you have taken into account all deductions/credits and whether the source income is ordinary or qualified, but I could never make sense of it and that frustrates me.

Overall, better than last year. No issues printing, One issue when completing state returns said "9 digit state id required on Federal income ". However, the tax id received on forms from agencies only have 6. Turbo Tax required to add leading 000 to number but it does not direct you to specific pages were required.

TT kept telling me to return to my financial institution to repeat the attempts download tax data. This was frustrating and has never happened in previous years. I've used TT for many years without encountering this problem. I hope you can fix this.
