Great product, here are some areas for thought

I have been a customer for years. Getting along in age, I am now at the point where I sell some of my investments. The 1099-B has everything on it, but I found that entering normal, long-term, and short-term gains was tedious because I had to enter the same information three times, instead of one page to cover all inputs for one sale. Also, the RMD data might better be served by starting with the RMD and then asking for the withdrawal information. When drawing from more than one account, I got a little confused and entered the total RMD amount twice. Not a good surprise.

Turbo tax sucks does not suck

TT2025 won't let me pay state efile and want extra $40 to take the fee out of Fed return. Go to help and have to pay $5 just talk to that person. What kind of ripoff organization has Intuit become. *** Found my problem. Desk top resunution was to high. ***

For tax year 2025 stick with TT-desktop.

TurboTax steered me to TT-Online and did almost all my taxes but did not like it as much as desktop - so had to do it all over in desktop. TT-on line hard to figure where you are and how to get back to an area i need to fix. TT keeps trying to push you back to TT-online and not always easy to tell where you are. For tax year 2025 stick with TT-desktop.

A Few Minor Problems with 2025 tax filing

Two problems with the filing this year (2026): 1) When in the section regarding RMD's not withdrawn from an IRA account, it refers to "last year". I had to call your people to get a definition of "last year" (i.e. 2025 vs 2024). This should be corrected. 2) After filing (but not paying) electronically, I was told I had to ALSO mail in my return. Very confusing. This instruction should be corrected to say that I have to mail certain forms (in this case, just the payment vouchers). You guys still have the best program out there. Keep up the good work!

Buggy, Incorrect MA, INTEREST Calc.

Not the easiest. Shameful Nickel & Diming for state e-filing. Multiple credit card transactions to get to e-file documents. Why does it cost $25 when using my internet connection to submit a document? Importing documents from Etrade did not work - tried multiple times.

TurboTax was not awesome this year!

I encountered a problem with importing rental property information from 2024. I have been using TurboTax successfully since 2015 to report rental income and deductions, and especially loved the depreciation tracking feature. Turbotax automatically computed the rental's depreciation in all prior years, but not this year. I found a problem report about this issue on your support site, and it indicated that the issue was fixed, so I updated my software and started a new return (importing my 2024 TurboTax files, of course). Unfortunately, no rental information was imported (all of my other info was successfully imported). I finally found a workaround with the assistance of your support staff, but no one directly addressed the apparent import bug. Please resolve this issue so that I am not forced to use other tax software next year.

No More Turbo Tax For Me!

I've used Turbo Tax for decades, but no more. The quality has steadily declined. It is basically just the forms and the help is useless. The price is high and their fees are too much especially given the poor quality. I've decided to use a local accountant who will do it for me and e-file it for less than this tax software. By the way, the Intuit sign-in is enough to drive a person insane. NEVER AGAIN!!

Not impressed.

I found TurboTax increasingly non-user friendly for the past several years and this year's product was the worst ever. I spoke with a support person for over one and a half. hours to resolve a problem. The support person seemed unsure of what she was doing and never completely resolved my problem.

User issue

Turbo Tax has created a program that seems to lock people in and now you want to force people that have been using your program to do it on line. Also, I really want the disk but you no longer seem to see the need for users to have a disk. bottom line, it does suck.

Easy to Use

I have been using TurboTax for many years and appreciate that it is pretty straight forward and easy to use. It was especially helpful when I use to itemize. I have multiple investment accounts, so I used the paid version of TurboTax to handle all of the investment information. I will usually use the import document feature but in my opinion, it is sort of a hassle and sometimes does not import all of the information, so I end up just entering the information myself.
