PROS: This software does a lot of the work for you and I have used it for years. I trust that they have knowledge to get things right in my return. CONS: I have complained about the navigation through fields and they have never change anything. Enter will not go the next field and pop-up scroll window do not scroll with the wheel. Mention it again this year. Also they want you to purchase add-ons as you go through filing which are expensive and 9/10 not needed for my filing. I think they raise the State Efile fee to essentially negate the credit from Sam's.

The software for 2025 is glitchy and had frequent delays on moving to the next page when clicking the "continue" or "next" buttons. In some cases, all entered data was lost and we were returned to the beginning of the income or deduction section. Overall, generated a seemingly accurate return, but the user experience for 2025 was not great.

Been using TurboTax for years. It has been a good product. Starting my return this year, I don't remember being given a choice of preparing my return - "On-Line" or "Desktop". That option showed up when I saved and restarted my partially completed return. I'm glad I chose the 'desktop" option as it more closely matched what I have used in prior years.

This year was a fiasco. My return was rejescted twice because my last years info imported incorrectly. I was charged an additional $25 for a refile of my state return. I had to go to the IRS to find my tax form from last year to have accurate information. My old computer and file was unavailable. I also had emails hounding me to do mine online versus desktop. Online is where the corrupt file came from and tech support was only able to send me to the IRS. I deserve a $25 Refund of my extra costs.

Pay for the product and get bombarded with ads for more product, then you still make me go back to prior years to fill in data when you should be able to either pull it or at least link me directly to prior year forms. What is the point buying this software. Even adding a "required" nickname on this survey feels like a scam, not optional and has to be 4+ char, why? Just a hassle.

I keep waiting for TurboTax to set up a "early" version that I could buy in say Sept 2026, which would help me plan my taxes for the 2026 year and be a prepaid system for the 2026 normal turbo tax software for the 2026 tax year once it becomes available. This would allow TurboTax to get their money early and allow them to charge a little more money for the software. This seems so obvious to me. Come on TurboTax, expand your universe and make more profit! Maybe look at Bolden for a full approach to financial planning so you can grow and expand. Your competition is coming with AI. Please be agile so you continue to survive! I would like to be able to see the details of my State return. I'd also like to understand how much ordinary income vs capital gain income I had. It would be great to see my marginal tax bracket. It would be even better if there were a planning section for next year. I feel like TurboTax is resting on your laurels. Great software but you are at risk of being left in the dust! Innovate and be the leading software providing more services. It's frustrating for me to see you stall out.

I had been using Turbo Tax for more than 10 years now. But, I do not understand why there is no option to print the screen shot. Software tech must work on this so that we can do that for record of certain data. That also includes info about refund analysis & prior years AGI chart etc.

On my laptop, the Skip Import button is out of sight at the bottom of the screen when you have entered something that triggers that option. It feels like a dead end when importing is not an option until you finally scroll down and see the Skip button. It would be helpful to first have a screen asking if you want to import or skip, and then follow that with either the import list or the next screen for entering the data yourself.

Does not do a good job of clearly showing carry over amounts or providing options on use. When I don't qualify for a deduction, especially ones played up on most medias, would desire it clearly state I don't qualify. It does not have to be detailed. That way would not have to worry I missed doing something which prevented me from deduction.

One thing didn't work this time...every time I tried the security options for the PDF file, it did not work. It only saved the "untitled" (instead of what I tried to name it and did not have it password protected. Instead, I had to do it on my own computer after downloaded from TT. That didn't used to happen in previous year.
